MikesVikes
If Adrian is available and he skips past the Vikes, I'd be upset. If they picked a S/CB over him I'd be surprised and upset. You have to like a mock where they always tell you not to laugh. Edited March 2, 2007 by MikesVikes
rajncajn
I just can't see the Saints not picking defense in the first. TAnother weapon for Brees would be nice, but it's hardly a need.
peteteacher2001
Quite possibly the silliest mock draft I have seen yet and I am becoming a "mock dork" so to speak. WOW!
PantherDave
That is a waste of cyberspace.....let's see The Panthers are going to draft into a position that is their deepest on DT other than the D line...yeah right. The Panthers will not take a CB at 14.....S or MLB and nothing else.

The Panthers will not take a CB at 14.....S or MLB and nothing else. I could see it happening PD. Gamble was absolutely awful last year, and Lucas was injured. They can't be happy with the corner play, but I know a lot of the blame was placed on the terrible over the top coverage of the safeties. I'd guess they take the remainder of Laron Landry or Reggie Nelson. I've seen a few mocks with them taking Dwane Bowe, but I don't see the reasoning for that. As for Detroit, I think they're morons to pass up Calvin Johnson. He's the best player in the entire draft IMO, and could be an immediate and long term force paired up with Roy Williams. Detroit would have a starting duo of receivers that could be dominant as far as size, speed, and physical play. Why pass on the best player just because of past mistakes? PantherDave
Swamp...the best CB on the team is Richard Marshall, as Gamble will play the nickel this year. Lucas and Gamble will battle to see who starts opposite Marshall in TC...funny how things change in a year.

I like the big WR theory but, you look at guys like Steve Smith, Torry Holt, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, etc. These are not the biggest beast like guys in the NFL. They are fantastic route runners, great work ethics, and excellent football minds. Detroit has a lot of holes to fill and I believe Barry Sanders was recently quoted as saying they need to "focus on the line and stop going for the offensive weapons". Thomas could be the Orlando Pace like guy that Martz needs for and offense that traditionally abuses QB's. That being said, I too agree with CJ being the best player in the draft but, you don't buy a cadillac when you need a 4 wheel drive. .
