loaf
Former Bengals guard Eric Steinbach was so impressed with the Browns on Friday that he canceled his visit to Tampa Bay and signed a seven-year free agent deal with the Browns worth $49.5 million, including $17 million in guaranteed money. http://blog.cleveland.com/sports/browns/ let's hope this doesn't end up like LeCharles... Bengal Mania
You definitely got a good player. Hated to lose from Cincy, but there was no way. I'm a little surprised he didn't go to Seattle, where he'd have a much better chance of making a Superbowl, or at least the playoffs. I'm a little surprised though, because I thought Crennel and the Browns were "character" guys, and wouldn't jump to sign a guy w/ an arrest record......another of the "Bengals 10" are gone. Ursa Majoris
I was hoping the Bears would have a shot.

CaP'N GRuNGe
So much for the thought that the Vikings overpaid on Hutchinson last year. Already two lesser guards have signed for the same money and years.

Already two lesser guards have signed for the same money and years. He's not really a pure guard. He plays all of LT, LG, and C very well. Ironically that was knock against him in the draft. Don't be surprised if he moves to LT for the Brownies.
Ursa Majoris
not at that price Agreed. This year is going to be a bonanza for mid-level and above average players with the amount of cap space sloshing around and no real stars on the market. godtomsatan
Steve Hutchinson money for Eric Steinbach, Derrick Dockery, and presumably Kris Dielman. It pays this year to be merely above average.
The Irish Doggy
Wow, Steinbach above average? I guess we all have our opinions.
SteelerMurf
Good move for the Browns I hear that every offseason.
