Chief Dick
Is this guy any good Miami fans? Kansas City Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Saturday that the club has agreed to terms of a six-year contract with unrestricted free agent T Damion McIntosh. As per Chiefs policy, no other terms of the agreement was made available. “We are very pleased to have acquired the services of Damion McIntosh to play left tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs,” Peterson commented. “He is an established starter at that position in the National Football League who we anticipate will be a very competitive performer. Damion played particularly well against the Chiefs when we faced him in 2006.” McIntosh (6-4, 320) started 13 games with Miami in 2006, opening 11 contests at left tackle and two more at right guard. He helped the Dolphins gain 104.6 rushing yard per game and 205.4 passing yards per game a year ago. He originally joined Miami as an unrestricted free agent from San Diego in 2004. He opened 43 games in three seasons (2004-06) with Miami. The eight-year veteran originally entered the NFL as a third-round draft pick (83rd overall) of San Diego in the 2000 NFL Draft. McIntosh has played in 84 regular season contests, starting 80 of those games (78 at left tackle and two at right guard). He played in 41 games (37 starts) in four seasons (2000-03) with San Diego. McIntosh played both offensive and defensive tackle during his four-year career at Kansas State, appearing in 44 games (31 starts) for the Wildcats. He started 11 games at left tackle as a senior, his only full campaign as an offensive lineman. He ended his collegiate career with 105 tackles, 20.0 stops for loss, 7.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles. He earned second-team All-Big 12 honors as a junior defensive tackle. The Kingston, Jamaica native was an all-state, all-county and all-conference selection as a senior at McArthur High School in Hollywood, Florida. HowboutthemCowboys
Filling their need for more athleticism and playmaking potential at middle linebacker spot, the Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday reached agreement with unrestricted free agent middle linebacker Napoleon Harris on a six-year deal. Complete financial details of the contract were not immediately available, but two league sources told ESPN.com that Harris will receive about $6 million-$7 million in guarantees. Harris, 28, will replace Kawika Mitchell as the starting middle linebacker. A solid run-stuffer but limited athlete, Mitchell is also an unrestricted free agent. He was not expected to return to the Chiefs and the acquisition of Harris all but guarantees that.

HowboutthemCowboys
The Chiefs have reached agreement with linebacker Donnie Edwards on a three-year contract worth roughly $14 million. Edwards, 34 in April, probably won't make it to the end of this contract but will step in and start on the weak side in Gunther Cunningham's defense. Kansas City has overhauled its linebacking corps in free agency but still has no capable starters on the interior defensive line.
