PantherDave Posted March 17, 2007 Share Posted March 17, 2007 Upon BC's request and further review-5 ingredients is very fitting, as a starting line-up consist of 5 players, so here we go for the round of 32. Texas Two-Step Stew Serve with warm tortillas and cool lime wedges. Prep-20 mins Cook- low 4hrs/high 2hrs CP- 3 1/2-4 qt'er 8oz uncooked chorizo sausage 1 med onion, chopped(1/2 cup) 1 15oz can Mexican-style or Tex-Mex style chili beans 1 15oz can hominy or 1 11oz can whole kernel corn with sweet peppers, drained 1 6oz package regular Spanish-style rice mix Step 1- Remove casings from sausage, if present. In med skillet cook sausage and onion over med heat until sausage is no longer pink. Drain fat. Transfer sausage mixture to CP. Stir in undrained chili beans, hominy/corn(drained), and seasoning packet from the rice mix, if present( set aside remaining rice mix). Pour 6 cups water over all. Step 2- Cover and cook on desired temp and time. Stir in remaining rice mix. Cover, cook on low setting for 1 hr more or high for 45mins more. Top with some sour cream if it does ya well-Enjoy!!!!
