Riffraff
As a Charger fan, I'd like to thank Drew Brees for the top compensatory pick. 2006 was your year Drew. Thank you. On the flip side, Detroit only gets one comp pick and it's Mr. Irrelevant. Nice.

nogohawk
i cant f'n wait! nfl draft weekend is one of my favorites of the year. Mine too! I just found out my step-sons Bachelor party is going to include a trip to NYC to see the Sat. morning (noon) draft live at Radio City Music Hall - not sure if I'll be able to tag along though. If any Huddlers have attended previous drafts and have any insight or tips, feel free to PM me.

Randall
Who the heck did New England lose to score four picks???? Vinatieri, and...?? Perhaps Givens, Tim Dwight, Ashworth or McGinest?
The Wolf
Perhaps Givens, Tim Dwight, Ashworth or McGinest? These guys are worthy of a compensatory pick? Admittedly, I do not know how the system works, but the Jets lost Ty Law, who had a much better season than these guys. Why didn't we get a pick? Admittedly, I do not know how the system works, but the Jets lost Ty Law, who had a much better season than these guys. Why didn't we get a pick? Law was cut.... no comp picks for cut players. Same with Mawae.

Ursa Majoris
Bears and Jets swapped second rounders in the TJ trade - Bears now have 2.05, Jets have 2.

SteelerMurf
Who the heck did New England lose to score four picks???? Vinatieri, and...?? I remember in years past people wondering why NE always had such great comp picks......not claiming any bias....just saying I don't follow the comings and goings of players and know how the system works. Steelers lost Kimo, Randle El and Hope but gained Ryan Clark. Steelers ended up with 2 picks. I think the quality of pick depends on the contract that guy signed when he left???? Probably the same people that bashed them for not resigning their own players.

DMD
Thanks - missed that one. Now Buffalo cough-RB-cough has one of the better first five picks in the league.
Big Red
It's based on Free Agents you lost vs Free Agents you signed. You can lose a pro bowler and sign a pro bowler and get nothing. Trades do not count either.

Trades do not count either. Got it. I go back to my original question...whom did the Patsies lose that they were able to garner four picks? Vinatieri, OK. Givens, Dwight? Nope. Did McGinest play well enough to get them a pick? Someone on the o-Line? Call me dense...but I don't see it.
