godtomsatan
...but has anyone tried faux meat products like Smart Bacon or Smart Ground? The only thing missing is the grease.
Bier Meister
visited a friend recently and he made a bolognese sauce and used a faux meat in there... sauce was good, but there was someting wierd about the "meat." my palette kept expecting a meat flavor and texture, but it was clearly different. i had to keep reminding myself that it wasn't meat. i forgot which one he used...i'll find out tonight. Azazello1313
when i was trying to lose weight about a year ago i ate a lot of the fake-meat breakfast sausage links. i think they were morningstar. they're pretty good cut up and scrambled in with some eggs. they taste like chit if you pick one up and bite into it thinking you're eating "sausage". also, somebody makes some black bean burgers that are pretty good. that is, again, unless you're comparing it to and expecting it to taste like meat. godtomsatan
Not saying it replaces the real thing whatsoever. I've just been pleasantly surprised with veggie BLTs lately, and using this Smart Ground stuff in lieu of ground beef in a "mexican lasagna" dish I made yesterday. Kid Cid
I despise vegetables and proteins that try and pass themselves off as meat. They are not and never will be meat. Call them what they are and I'll be far more inclined to enjoy them. Some aren't even half bad. But they are not meat. Stop lying.

If God wants us to be monogamous, how come he made us to want to hump pretty much any chick (or in spain's case Ovis aries) that cross our path.
