Menudo
I think I am being a non-homer when I say this.... The Steelers schedule looks to start out nicely for them, and they could be 5-0 at the bye, but, the end of their schedule is brutal. Doesn't help that you have to go to Cincy the week before we play you while we get a bye that week.

i_am_the_swammi
looks like 8-8, just like last year, perhaps even worse as they will be semi-rebuilding. Other than the flukey season where everything went right for them a couple years ago, and they somehow hijacked a championship from the deserving Seahawks, this team has been mediocre at best since, well, the mid-70's. Nothing here...move on.
SteelerMurf
Wow, a sensible Steelers fan. Doesn't help that you have to go to Cincy the week before we play you while we get a bye that week. I'm also predicting Steelers lose twice to the Ravens. I don't think in one year you can go from absolutely getting manhandled to a win. I still see the first half of the Steeler schedule very, very favorable. I'm thinking 10 wins and 6 losses (Ravens, Ravens, Bengals, Jags, Pats, Broncos). I don't have a good feeling about the Arizona game

Also, do you know that the Steelers have been in 6 of the past 13 AFC Championship games ? Thanks for your definition of mediocre

And besides your proof of no better team in the NFL regular season during the Cowher era and all the AFC Championship games........does he even realize that before the "flukey" year when they won the Superbowl, they were 15-1 and lost in the AFC championship game CLUELESS or maybe he fell asleep in about 1992 and didn't wake up until 2006????? I don't have a good feeling about the Arizona game I agree with this 100%. That Arizona game scares me too. Even if they beat Ariz., I still think they may lose to a team they should beat. Then again, they may win against a team they should lose. I say 9-7. If they play to their potential 10-6. Of course I like Menudo's prediction better and I hope he's right. DemonKnight
I guarantee either San Fran or Seattle will take one of those games. You will not go into the bye undefeated. You better hope Brainforburger gets his act together... And the loss of Porter in no way helps your chances.
jaxfactor
And the loss of Porter in no way helps your chances. Harrison is better than Porter. You just watch and see.
Menudo
Harrison is better than Porter. You just watch and see. He is just as talented and younger. However, he hasn't shown an ability to stay healthy yet. I've made clear many times that I never cared for Porter, but, I can't deny that he was solid, and I will be forever grateful for his performance in the Colts playoff game two years ago, when he was out of this world in the clutch. All that said, his departure isn't high on my concerns list. I have concerns, but, that just isn't one of them.

My hope is that Tomlin is a player's coach ala Cowher and he knows how to get his team fired up. I'm praying that that Ole Miss LB(name escapes me-senior moment) falls to them on draft day. I doubt it though. I'd be happy with another corner or even a DE or safety to team with Polamalu. I'm 100% sure they go D with their 1st rounder. Would love to see that Penn State RB in a Steeler uni in round 2 or 3.

Easy there, chum...just giving Menudo a little fodder since I took him on a sig bet last year that the Steelers wouldn't finish above .500. Yes, it was a fishing trip...caught a couple whoppers, too, based on the number of replies it generated.
