I'm getting Pope a Carolina BBQ sauce care package together, but my family has had one for years that my Mom's father invented many years ago(before I was born) and I called Momma PD to make sure she was OK with me sharing it-she said yes, as her dad ,CD, would have gotten pleasure from people enjoying it.

CD's BBQ Sauce(We use it primarily on chicken-just grill the chicken, break it apart and throw it in a bowl and add the sauce, it can be used on pork as well)

1/2 cup regular vinegar

1 stick butter melted

3 tablespoons lemon juice

1 to 2 tablespoons yellow mustard(we use just one)

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon sugar

2 teaspoons whostershire sauce

Tabasco-to taste

Crushed Red Pepper-to taste

Enjoy authentic Carolina Mustard base BBQ sauce, from my family to yours, Bon Appetite-Peace PD.

Here's what I use

Frank's Red Hot

Butter

Garlic

Worsteshire

Honey

I'm open to suggestions :D

Well, at least to me it's new. I stumble across it in via my internet searches.

A Western Carolina Vinegar sauce. Really simple but really good.

2 cups cider vinegar

2/3 cup ketchup

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 tbsp hot sauce

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp worcestershire sauce

2 tbsps butter

1 tsp red pepper flakes

1 tsp dry mustard

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

Combine all in saucepan and bring to a simmer. Cook for 30 mins, stirring often. Make sure to make this sauce a least a day in advance to allow flavors to meld together.

There ya go-some sauces for ya :D

1/3 cup bottled steak sauce(I use A-1)

1/3 cup ketchup

1/4 cup aged Scotch Whiskey(don't use the really good stuff)

2 tbsp dijon Mustard

2 tbsp light brown sugar

1/2 tsp granulated onion

combine in a saucepan and bring to a boil, simmer for 20 minutes after adding salt & pepper for your preference or taste.

This has become my favorite sauce recipe, it's best for pork IMO, but can also be used for poultry or beef.
