Men In Tights
I guess I didn't get the good fortune to watch Vince Young this past year. Yes, he did carry his team to an 8-8 record. I am sure I will get to see him play this year. Like stated in an earlier post, they could have put Drew Brees on the cover, along with Peyton Manning, Tiki Barber (I know he retired but what a retirement gift and no worry about the curse). What about LT, Frank Gore.
Fatman
Honestly? If I had to pick one right now? I'd take Vince Young . . . Yep. Vick sucks.

DemonKnight
Have you given thought to the fact that EA may be playing to the Madden Curse? This tidbit was on every pundit's lips yesterday and is amazing publicity for this game. They may be thinking that there is no way he will live up to his rookie performance (Roethlisburger) thus continuing the Madden Curse for another year. How many years in a row would the curse have to be "broken" for us to stop taking about it? 1 good year? 2 good years in a row? Or more? Pope Flick
IIRC Eddie George made it through the regular season just fine, it was in the playoffs that year he took the hit from Ray Lewis that caused him to fumble and he fell off a cliff after that performance wise. But that was The Convict, not Madden at work.
Crazysight
The Madden curse is the best thing that boring-ass game that hasn't really changed in like 15 years has going for it. Edited April 18, 2007 by Crazysight
Fatman
According to CNBC, LT was offered the cover and turned it down. Not because of the curse, but beacuse the fee was too low: http://www.cnbc.com/id/18175081/from/ET/
Perchoutofwater
I'm gonna have fun kicking your ass at chess. Check your stats bro Vick had a higher completion rate last year with all the receiver problems! Nice try though most of the board apprectiates your valiant effort. Vick also had some 1st round WR's to throw to, how many did Young have?
ROYALWITCHEESE
Curse-Schmurse. Eddie George wasn't cursed, and neither was Ray Lewis. Both played in every game. Faulk missed 2 games. So since 2001, you guys' so called curse is batting .500. Not exactly a curse...

Crazysight
Curse-Schmurse. Eddie George wasn't cursed, and neither was Ray Lewis. Both played in every game. Faulk missed 2 games. So since 2001, you guys' so called curse is batting .500. Not exactly a curse... Do your research before posting on the subject. All of those who weren't injured were soon plagued by sub-par performance. Despite having a very strong statistical year, George's curse can be argued to have started the year he was on the cover because in the 2000-2001 AFC Championship game George had a costly fumble that lost the game for Tennessee. and proceeded to have a very bad year the following season. He never got back to his old form following that fumble. Edited April 20, 2007 by Crazysight
Crazysight
"Running back Marshall Faulk of the St. Louis Rams, who was on the Madden NFL 2003 box, suffered an ankle injury, missing five games. He did amass nearly 1,600 total yards and 10 touchdowns in limited time in 2002; however, it was a steep decline from his 2,000 yard and 21 touchdown campaign of 2001. He never broke through the 1,000 yards rushing mark for the rest of his career."
