Kansas State 2000
According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Cowboys plan to bring in former St. Louis Rams running back Trung Canidate for a workout. Canidate, who has been out of football since 2003 because of a foot injury, is now healthy and trying to make a comeback. The 5-foot-11, 212-pound Canidate has recently been timed in the 4.4-second range in the 40-yard dash.
Goopster24
What's the deal with Julius Jones? Is he still on the trading block? It looked like those rumors were shot down but this might mean something....

Well I mean the thinking is that Marion Barber III is going to become their man. Trung would then become the backup.

Barber cant carry the load. Dallas better have another option available if they decide to deal Julius. Cause if its Barber and trung, they are going to be looking for a RB in round 1 next yr. Savage Beatings
Don't forget about Tyson Thompson... before his injury last year he showed some hugh potential. Maybe this means his recovery isn't going as well as hoped.
Kansas State 2000
This has nothing to do with JJ and Babrber can not be a every down back. This adds a third down back and return guy, Tyson Thompson got hurt last year and they are looking for depth. Sign him , bring him in and if he stinks it up no harm ... cut him. The problem I have is that Jerry Jones may be thinking of trading up to get Adrian Peterson which means getting to #6 ahead of the Vikings. That will cost the bank and he'd have to deal with the Foreskins to get there. This is just depth ... I hope.
The Next Generation
Trung Canidate-RB-Redskins Apr. 27 - 11:03 am et The Cowboys didn't sign Trung Canidate after trying him out Thursday. It's possible Canidate could go to camp with the Cowboys, but he's a longshot to ever make an NFL roster again. Link

broncosn05
My last pick in Madden making a comeback. Makes a nice punt returner. I did like Miles Austin though. Edited April 27, 2007 by broncosn05
Riffraff
Why are people saying Barber can't carry the load? I am obviously missing something.... Same reason people are thinking Barber is taking the starting job from JJ. Because the coaching staff hasn't said anything of the sort and people are making assumptions based on their fantasy team needs. People see what they want to see. Savage Beatings
Why are people saying Barber can't carry the load? I am obviously missing something.... Probably because he has always shared carries (even for the Gophers he shared carries with Maroney). And I don't think that that necessarily means that he CAN'T carry the full load, but since he never has carried the full load in his experience, it's easy to make that assumption. Hat Trick
Why are people saying Barber can't carry the load? I am obviously missing something.... Me too, cause I'd sure like him to prove me wrong cause I think he's the better back and carry the load.
Sgt. Ryan
Because us Cowboy fans see similarities of Troy Hambrick in Barber. Hambrick was a great change of pace back, but when he became the man, he failed miserably. Barber isnt fast, isnt elusive, and isnt that powerful a runner inside. Sure he can get 2 yds at the goal line, but he isnt an every down back. he takes too much punishment, doesnt run over people, and cant elude most LBs. 5RingsInBigD
I think that with the power run game that Wade is gonna emphasize Dallas will be heading in the same direction as many other teams...2 backs try8ing to keep each other fresh. Barber is a great help to the somewhat injury-prone Jones and if you are gonna pound you need 3 backs for sure. Saying Barber cant handle the load is only half the story. Look at many teams and you will see that the #1 back is taking 60-65% of the carries.
