tonyr0802
The Panthers have reportedly released WR Keyshawn Johnson."They said they wanted to get younger," Johnson told the St. Petersburg Times. "That's fine with me. I'd like to go somewhere and help someone win another Super Bowl." The Panthers' decision to draft Dwayne Jarrett was apparently not so he could study under Johnson, then contribute in the future. Jarrett and Drew Carter are now likely to compete to start. Link So much for working with Jarrett

rattsass
Oh no. Here comes Key's turn in the "obnoxious former pro" seat on ESPN Countdown.

Green Bay isn't in Door County. But going to the Packers actually makes sense.

Fatman
Good news for Carter. I bet he starts as the #2.
PantherDave
http://www.panthers.com/Common/Article.aspx?id=18646 I thought they would keep Key at least one more year and possible cut Colbert before or during TC. However, with the release of Key I'd hedge they now keep Colbert to be big brother Trojan. So, we now have Smith, Carter, Jarrett and Colbert as the main WR Corp. Fox is very big on Carter, so one of the other two would have to beat him out in TC and PS to become the #2.
The Irish Doggy
Oh no. Here comes Key's turn in the "obnoxious former pro" seat on ESPN Countdown. Potman
And 1 month ago. They gave Key a 3 million roster bonus. Not wise by the kitty cats It wasn't a roster bonus. It was part of his signing bonus that was deferred. They would have had to pay it whether he was on the team or not. ...but it's still a bad move. Now Steve Smith will be double and tripled again. Good job deeks.
MikesVikes
Actually in Brown County. Was the name of the county changed to honor Randy Moss?
MikesVikes
It would be interesting to see how Chilly responds to Keyshawn on the open market. His experience with TO was not good to say the least. I'd be surprised if he took another shot at a prima donna receiver.

According to ESPN today, it was a roster bonus, and if they would have cut him prior to that date, he wouldnt have recevied it.
