kraftykraft
I agree that "Ron Mexico" would be a lot easier to put up with if his on-field alter ego was able to throw the ball consistently. Ultimately, the inability to pass well is going to tell. I for instance was never really down on Vick until the season before last, and I was never really looking for a reason to dislike Vick as a player. I think that kind of progression (or regression depending on how you want to view it) is where a lot of knowledgable football fans/league personnel are at. Ultimately, unless Vick can develop an accurate passing arm the combined disillusionment of Falcons fans, general football fans and people around the league is going to send him the way of Kordell Stewart. The Wolf
Vick's stuff isn't going away, though, and in the real world in which you and I live, it shouldn't. He should be facing full retail for his decisions, made to realize that dog fighting isn't cool, that Ron Mexico was a stupid idea, that being Michael Vick doesn't necessarily count the way it once did. Unfortunately, he is a pro athlete and will never be fully accountable for his actions. He'll still bring 80,000 people to their feet, roaring with approval, the first time he takes off and runs 40 yards downfield. Sad but true. BeeR
"the fighting dog farm is pretty reprehensible stuff" whoa out on a limb there - Pretty good if somewhat limp-wristed recap of the situation, but he isn't saying anything that hasn't been said.
