kpholmes
It's really nice to see rich people realize they can afford to give money away for the greater good, rather than hording it all to themselves. Very classy move here
fitzkek
He's a jerk. What's that like 1/1,000,000 of his lifetime salary! He should be banned from society! Just kidding...Relax. I don't want to turn this into a pissing match like a prior thread on Ron Mexico.

muck
$500,000 to UM for scholarships + $1,000,000 to 8th graders for college scholarships = what good philanthropists are all about. Nicely done, Braylon!
max
I would much rather hear more of this and less of players making bad decisions that get them in trouble. Edwards

Sleeping King
"Specifically, Edwards’ love for his hometown Detroit motivated him to create “Helmets for High Schools,” an initiative designed to increase safety on the football field by upgrading existing equipment. “Helmets for High Schools” provided 400 new football helmets to Detroit’s public high schools at the program’s kickoff ceremony on Feb. 3 at Detroit’s Kettering High School. " Now if he can give my dynasty team a charitable contribution of 1200 yards and 9 touchdowns...
muck
Funny that a story like this doesn't hit the board until after 6 six months of its occurance. Also funny how no one is commenting on "what a generous guy he is", etc. when others that gave less than 1% of the $1.5 million Edwards just gave got the lavish public praise (with a few detractors) ... and Edwards hasn't had nearly the positive "way to go" from these same people who said "I don't care who you are, $10k is a ton of scratch". Agreed Warrick is IMO the most classy guy in the NFL and has been for a few years.
