I tried a new micro this weekend that's going to become a staple for me. Dogfish Head Raison D'Etre ale. It's a mahogany ale brewed with beet sugars and golden raisens. This stuff is downright awesome!

 

I tried their Indian Brown as well, and it was ok. Couldn't hold a candle to the above IMO. Give it a shot.

yeah, had some a while back, pretty interesting stuff. but IIRC, i remember thinking it almost tries TOO hard to be complex, packing so many different nuances that it sacrificies harmony.

Love the Dogfish Head Pale Ale - I stick to the 60 minute version, the 90 can sneak up on ya. I hear the owner is a Muhlenberg Grad - I went to their rival school but good beer is good beer.

Agree. I'm not a fan of DFH, their hops just aren't crisp enough, and, well, I just don't like the beer.

 

Give me a Ruination, a Racer 5, or any of the crisper hop IPA's all day over the 60, 90, or 120.
