Coming from a Chiefs fan who has had nothign but empty optimism and no return for 36 years now? Go Herm Edwards! THE SERIES Kansas City owns a 51-43-2 advantage over Oakland in regular and postseason play. The only team the Chiefs have defeated more frequently is Denver (51). The Chiefs own a seven-game edge in the all-time regular season series between the two squads at 49-42-2 dating to the AFL’s inaugural season of ‘60. The Chiefs are 2-1 against the Silver and Black in postseason play. The Chiefs are 27-8 (.771) overall vs. the Raiders dating back to ‘90, including a ‘91 AFC playoff tilt. The Chiefs own a eight-game winning streak against the Raiders, the club’s longest victory stretch against the Silver and Black since winning seven straight from ‘93-96. No team had beaten the Raiders eight consecutive times.

This 2007 season actually begins yet another five year plan by the Chiefs front office. Term limits dictates that they should be thrown out of office. Hat Trick
So... how's that single Lombardi trophy looking after 36 years? Still shiny as ever, a lot shinier than a lot of teams.
DMD
Some interesting tidbits there but this one stood out to me: In Lane Kiffin, we have a head coach who, through his tireless research, is able to find players who have better chances of succeeding in the NFL. It would not be a stretch to come to a conclusion that this system of investigation would also produce capable coaches. How do they know he is able to find players for the NFL when he has never done it before and never coached an NFL game yet?
Sturphy
Clairvoyant of course. Duh. Or maybe because his Dad tells him what he needs to know?

Only time will tell DMD. You gotta start sometime, hopefully that time is now. It's kind of refreshing really, we (Raiders) have no where to go but up from here on out. lol

Man, no coach anywhere ever fell into HC gig that had more room to grow and even if he did nothing, it would improve the team so anything positive makes it even better. The 2006 Raiders have to be the easiest act to follow ever in the NFL.

XFlash
Raiders will improve this year. Last season was horrible. At least this season the play should be better with new coaches and jettison of the malcontents.
