Outshined
Not much news these days, can't wait until camp starts... From Star Trib Blog: Wednesday, July 4th, 2007 by Judd Zulgad Hopefully most of you Access Vikings regulars are enjoying the 4th of July. The guess is that many of you might not even be near a computer today. But for those who can’t stay away we saw an interesting nugget today. The Chicago Tribune reports that Drew Rosenhaus, who serves as the agent for disgruntled Bears linebacker Lance Briggs, has approached the team with some ideas about a new contract for his client. Rosenhaus didn’t give any more specifics. The Bears have put the franchise tag on Briggs ($7.2 million for one season) and the linebacker has threatened to sit out. Obviously, the Vikings wouldn’t mind seeing Briggs being dealt elsewhere. “We presented some concepts that we think will work for the Bears and for Lance,” Rosenhaus told the paper, declining to elaborate. Rosenhaus, by the way, also serves as the agent for tight end Greg Olsen, the Bears’ first-round pick and 31st selection overall who agreed to a five-year contract on Tuesday. That made Olsen the first pick from either of the opening two rounds to reach a deal.
Randall
I heard he is trying new angles to get him signed, but if he wants more than Urlacher it won't happen. He'll have to lighten his demands. It is possible they can get something done though.
