:D Don't ya just love these useless preseason lists and analysis? These guys need to justify their existence/paychecks somehow, but IMHO lists should not be done until at least week 4 or 5 of the season. Oh well, I say the same thing every year, so you guys can yawn now too....

I believe the non-sensical schedule comparer was taking into account the teams listed on the polling info, and considering the Huskies aren't ranked in that top 38, their schdule wasn't listed.

Check out their website, Per ESPN, The Washington Huskies have the toughest schedule in the country. Your information is flawed ...

The Huskies play 8 teams in the Top 33 - #1 USC, #11 Ohio St (they'll finish in the Top 7), #12 UCLA, #13 Cal, #21 Hawaii, #25 Boise St., #26 Oregon (they'll finish Top 20) and #33 Oregon St. :D

Notre Dame #8? :D What a joke. They are ALWAYS the most overrated team in college football.

Ummm, you do realize that these are the betting lines? It has nothing to do with ND being over or under rated, it all comes down to where the $$$ is going.

To some degree you're right, however these are pretty much opening lines so they don't reflect the $$$ that much yet. Notre Dame just might be better than most people think. They have finally started getting some top notch recruiting classes again.

I think it's more the $$$, or at least the expectations of the $$$. There is no way these odds are based on the merits of the ND team.

I'm an ND fan and think they have NO shot this year. They have started to get some of the best recruits again(and their 2008 class is already looking phenominal), but this team will likely be WAY too young this year. New QB, new starting WRs, new starting RB, switch to a new defensive scheme. I'm rooting for them to surprise, but the cards might be stacked a little too much against them this year.

One part of the equation the odds makers probably took into consideration is that if the final participant of the BCS NC game comes down to two or three teams and one of them is the Irish chances are Notre Dame will get the spot over the other two teams. In short, the Irish win all tie-breakers.
