RB- Foster was with the 1st team

TE-Jeff King was with the 1st team

WR2-Colbert actually ran with the 1st team

DE-McGlover was opposite Pepp

SS-It's Salley's job to lose

C-Hartwig was back with the 1st team

CB's- Gamble and Lucas ran with the 1st team

WLB-Diggs ran with 1st team :D

It was the first day, so I would not put much stock in it right now, but that was the picture from day 1.

Also, Morgan was held out of contact drills(Seward is behind him on the depth chart right now at MLB) as Seward stepped into the position for contact. There is also talk of Morgan not playing in any PS games as well, he will get into contact in practice at some point, but as related, may see no action in the 4 PS games.

should Carter owners be concerned?

also... how do you see the TE playing into the offense this year. Hasn't played a big role in the past - but that might have been all about Mangum

Also... what can you tell me about this king guy...

this year... like many.... I have put a lot of my eggs in the Cat's basket

I think DC will start opposite Smitty come week 1, but it is a strong possibility that Jarrett will inherit the job a year later. DC is in a contract year, so I expect him to solidify himself as the #2-for this season.

Jeff King is a possesion-between the hash marks TE, if you look at the NE and Cleveland OT scheme, it would seem that King is more of the TE the Cat's need. Davidson will throw the ball to his TE's this year, so King could be a nice sleeper at TE this year. If he plays the most in the PS with the 1st team, then King is a nice sleeper.

:D If he can do that during games Morgan will be fine. :D

Thanks for the update PD.

From Darin Gantt, Anderson backed up Davis and not Diggs?

the two-deep depth chart based on the morning practice:

Defense

LDE Peppers, Johnson

LDT Kemoeatu, Lewis

RDT Jenkins, Moorehead

RDE Rucker, McClover

SLB Davis, Anderson

MLB Morgan, Seward

WLB Diggs, Melton

Only time will tell of course, but one error is McGlover, who has always lined up opposite Peppers?

Wow. There they have Drew Carter backing up Steve Smith. It's so early reporters check who is practicing with 1st and 2nd team, but that may not mean anything. I'd start Carter until Jarrett takes the job away.

Well, the Cat's have one practice today at 3:10, and I was hoping that with all the signings Beason would be there, but it appears that it will not be the case. I just don't get it.....I'm truly baffeld by the move/posturing being done by a 25th pick. It just absolutely just makes no sense what so ever and it is very peculiar to me why this kid is not in camp?

Correct, Anderson is backing up Davis at the SLB position.

Sounds as though he won't be running at all as I saw that he was carted off the field with an apparent knee injury.
