Atlas
Good reading! I've got a plane ride tomorrow. Between that a some pre-draft spreadsheets, I'm good to go!
DMD
Hope you like it - I wrote it just for those sort of reading situations. I tried to make every chapter sort of self-contained and valuable by itself even though they all tie together. I honestly think it has something for everyone. DMD
Try not to hurt your arm patting yourself on the back. I'm actually not all that big into self-promotion but I am very proud of what it ended up to be. I even read it much to the amusement of my son since the research I did for it taught me stuff. Maybe I am a little biased, but I am pretty convinced it is the greatest book written in the last century or so. And it is only $10 at amazon no less... kingfish247
Picked it up this weekend as well and tore through it. TONS of good info and lives up to 'The Next Level' title which is nice because so much that is published re: FF may as well be "FF for Dummies." Is it self -contained enough to read a chapter a day on the can? Just got done reading East of Eden-not good bathroom material.
DMD
Chapters are intentionally made for, uh, consumption in intervals. Very firlendly for the throne and sized just right as well.

Atlas
what is this book you are speaking of? Does it have pictures so the slows can understand it? Has a pretty fair amount of charts and graphs. Those work for me. I'm only a chapter or so through.

DMD
Does it have a chapter on how Dungeons and Dragons is the gateway to fantasy football? Excerpt from the book: But for all the negatives, potential and realized, fantasy football has exploded in a way that exceeds all expectations. In the early days, I hated telling people about my unusual vocation. Here is an actual conversation that I once had: Him: So, what do you do for a living? Me: I co-own a website with a friend and help produce the content. Him: Oh, so is it a porn website or a gambling website? Me: Um... I run a fantasy football website. Him: Oh, okay… So you’re saying that it’s both? Our hobby was not helped by the genius that first called it “fantasy” football. Perform an internet search on the word “fantasy” and everything is about dragons, elves and hobbits. Take the adult filter off and it turns into a wide array of athletic yet completely non-football related activities. I used to tell people that I was a plumber or a fireman just to keep the conversation going. Fortunately by now, fantasy sports have become popular enough that at least most people understand what it is, at least to the point that it is not about pornographic gambling.
