What do the Saint locals think about this?

Lance Moore-WR- Saints Aug. 8 - 4:19 pm et

Lance Moore is reportedly making a strong push for the No. 3 receiver role in New Orleans, "if not a starting position."

Moore is reportedly playing faster than any other Saints wideout and with David Patten (turf toe) out, the opportunity is there. Saints receivers came out of nowhere last year to make impacts; the 5-9 Moore might be next.

How can a team that can sniff out WRs in odd places be completely inept when it comes to finding a CB who could be successful in the AFL, much less the NFL?

This may sound awfully skeptical, but looking good against NO DBs isn't quite the same as being able to play against the rest of the league. We'll see, but it's always nice to see deep sleeper information hit the boards this time of year.

#15?

Moore seems like a kick returner primarily.

What's the scoop on Nance?

Vikings fans would know more but I heard good things last year.

Brad Childress said the reason Marcus Robinson was cut is so Martin Nance could be the red zone threat.

Nance pulled his hamstring after running a 4.5 at his pro day and dropped out of favor.

I'm still hoping Onome Ojo pans out...

As are every Saints faithful. He's the original training camp beast. :D

Yep, he will likely be the kick returner & be our #4 WR. The guy hass blazing speed, but I just don't see him beating out Patten after his toe heals up or Henderson.

5 ' 9 ' receivers , I don't believe , can last or excel in the NFL too often

Now as a kicker he would actually be on the big side

is he 5'9" or 6'3"?....I see conflicting listings...

and why would the Vikings of all teams let him slip if this were the case? :D

And you expect lightening to strike in the same place twice?

No. Like I said earlier I think he's more of a kick returner due to his size but anything's possible.

If Driver or Jennings go down I think James Jones could do it. I like his upside so far in camp.

As of this time a year ago Colston didn't either.

There is a bit of a difference between Brees and Jackson. I don't doubt that this Nance guy is talented, but I'd be surprised if he caught more than 30 balls.

IIRC, if you have been hit with lightening once, you are (statistically) more likely to get hit again than the average person who's never been hit at all.

If Nance was that good why did they draft Rice. With Colston the Saints new early in camp that they hit gold. With Nance I would doubt it...esp drafting Rice 44th in 07
