Hey, even if you aren't a big Colin Cowherd fan, you can't help but to be impressed with his ability to pick upsets this early (6-0 two years ago and 5-1 last year). His picks usually involve sandwich games or games with special circumstances that give one team an edge to win out or at least cover.

This year's picks:

#1 - Michigan at Wisconsin - Wisconsin to win straight up. Sandwich game for Michigan between Mich. St. and Ohio St. Game will be at night and cold. Michigan has questionable special teams (kickers).

#2 - LSU at Bama - Bama to win straight up. It's the fourth tough game for LSU and Bama has a bye week the week before. :D

#3 - Florida at Kentucky - Kentucky to win straight up. It's a sandwich game for Florida between LSU and UGA. Kentucky has good QB and coach is defensive minded and will scheme to stop Gators.

#4 - USC at Az. State - Az. State to keep it close or win. It's a sandwich game for USC, between Cal and UCLA. Az. State has bye week before.

#5 - Texas A&M at Nebraska - Texas A&M to keep it close or win. A&M is loaded with seniors. It's a sandwich game for Nebraska, between Texas and Oklahoma.

#6 - Notre Dame at Purdue - Notre Dame has four tough games before and will be coming off a rivalry game vs. Mich. St. Game is at night and Purdue will up and have a big edge at home.

How is that an upset?

Last year's Husker road win over the Aggies improved Nebraska to 8-3 on the season and 5-2 in Big 12 Conference play, while also improving Nebraska's series record against Texas A&M to 10-2, including 2-1 at Kyle Field.

NU is down and aTm is up this year. When they meet up I will be shocked if Aggies aren't rated higher. Therefore it will not be an upset.

Here's another so called expert Mark Schlabach's predictions.

Peering into the crystal ball revealed the following five predictions for the 2007 SEC season:

1. Florida won't repeat as national champion (or SEC East champion)

The defending national champion just has too many holes to fill on defense. Replacing the heart of the defense -- tackles Ray McDonald and Joe Cohen, middle linebacker Brandon Siler and free safety Reggie Nelson -- will be too difficult for co-coordinators Greg Mattison and Charlie Strong to overcome. The Gators take a step back in 2007, before jumping forward in a big way in 2008 and 2009.

2. LSU will play USC in the BCS championship game

Tigers coach Les Miles will get his wish with a date against the Trojans in the Jan. 7 BCS National Championship Game in the Louisiana Superdome. After USC easily defeats the Tigers in front of LSU's home crowd, Miles will leave to become head coach at Michigan, replacing Lloyd Carr, who will retire after winning the Rose Bowl (and, of course, losing to Ohio State).

3. Nick Saban loses to LSU (but beats Auburn)

Saban's first season at Alabama will be a successful one, but the Crimson Tide won't come close to catching LSU in the SEC West. Alabama will lose twice in September and to LSU in November, but Saban will win the two games that matter most to Crimson Tide fans -- against Tennessee and Auburn.

4. The Egg Bowl loser gets poached

Ole Miss and Mississippi State will continue to struggle, and both will have losing records going into the Nov. 23 Egg Bowl in Starkville, Miss. Rebels coach Ed Orgeron and Bulldogs coach Sly Croom will be under intense pressure, but the winner of the game will buy himself another year. The loser gets a pink slip.

5. The SEC East champion will have two losses

Only three times in the last 15 years has the SEC East champion had more than one loss. That number should increase. Kentucky and Vanderbilt will each upset at least one of the other four teams in the division -- and possibly more -- causing havoc in the East. LSU will defeat either Georgia or Tennessee in the SEC championship game in the Georgia Dome, possibly opening the door for Arkansas to receive a BCS at-large berth, along with the unbeaten Tigers.

Even if they don't come thru I'm fairly impressed with his vision up to this point in the season. These so called upsets are certainly taking shape, so much that they may not even be considered much of an upset by the time they play. Michigan certainly looking beatable after starting off as a NC contender, BAMa playing tough in the SEC, Nebraska struggling, Kentucky, Arizona State and Purdue all undefeated. :D

OK Poltsalet what do you think? Your Aggies are a 2 point road underdog. Will this be considered an upset if Texas A&M pull out the victory this Saturday? Lot of pressure on both coaches that's for sure. :D

I really think GWB should have this gme cancelled by executive order due to humanitarian reasons. The ags should win but I doubt they will. However they should be the favorites.
