CaP'N GRuNGe
Let's hear your insights on RB's that most of us have pretty much written off. I'm thinking guys like, but not limited to: Ron Dayne LenDale White/Chris Brown Tatum Bell/TJ Duckett Dominic Rhodes/LaMont Jordan Reuben Droughns Kevan Barlow Anthony Thomas Mike Anderson etc etc Any value here? cory_n_az
Lendale, Tatum. Throw in Foster and Leon Washington (written off in the respect that he won't have any value in leagues with Thomas Jones there....he'll be involved in that offense and a nice RB3-4 in PPR leagues). Too many people wanted to hand that job to Williams in Carolina, but it's not happening. It's bad news for Williams that he's even struggling in pass protection (which while he's probably a better receiver out of the backfield, isn't necessarily going to help him get in on 3rd downs). #1 on my list is Fred Taylor however. Savage Beatings
Kevin Faulk - the Patriots always seem to find a way to get him involved.
Brentastic
Kevin Faulk - the Patriots always seem to find a way to get him involved. You're right - about 3 games a year he has value, the other 13 games - not so much.

irish
Can't write Caddy off just yet. I've been hearing good things about Lendale and that the coach sees big things for him this year. Tatum Bell could be very valuable this year. And Leon Washington will also play a role for the Jets, not a starter obviously but will catch some passes. Maybe we have to start thinking of writing Kevin Jones off. Also thinking about writing Portis off.

tomfin2000
I don't think I would count out Ron Dayne just yet. If Green gets injured and Dayne gets a chance to play, he's proven that he can be very productive in that system. He's not a bad late round flyer, especially if you've got Green on your squad. Pope Flick
You're right - about 3 games a year he has value, the other 13 games - not so much. Faulk's Breakdown from one of my PPR Leagues: 10.80 3.90 10.00 2.90 2.50 B 2.10 4.30 10.50 5.30 2.50 9.70 13.90 6.10 20.80 4.00 Basicallym Faulk shouldn't be part of this discussion, because his ceiling is so welle stablished. However, he is the perfect RB4/5: he's that guy you keep as your deep backup RB so you don't have to burn a waiver move should you need to scramble for a starter. He's VERY valuable, but isn't a 'sleeper' per this thread because this is all he's really ever done. Kinda like Richie Anderson when he played. BS Miscreant
Foster. Everyone's annointing DWilliams the next big thing but all signs are pointing to Foster right now.

darin3
I don't think I would count out Ron Dayne just yet. I don't think it necessarily will take a Green injury to give Dayne value. Kubiak has stated on more than one occasion that he is going to use both Green and Dayne. Not necessarily a 50/50 split but Dayne is going to get his carries (and most likely the goal-line looks). Who's the #2 guy in Cincy right now? Probably Kenny Watson. TheShiznit
I am going to go with Michael Pittman. With Alstott out and the possiblility of Caddy not performing well...I think he gets more use. He is a PHENOM when considering the passing game and is a better than adequate runner. Look at his 2004 stats when I think Garner...or whoever it was...went down. He had absolutely huge games. Me thinks he is a written off player worthy of discussion.
Randall
Foster. Everyone's annointing DWilliams the next big thing but all signs are pointing to Foster right now. True, but that is the case almost every year. He can't stay healthy. This could be his year but after he couldn't the last 2 years I gave up on him. I like Lundy better than Gado. Jordan is motivated so I like his chances this year.

I concur...on everything said above... Jordan can end up being the steal of your draft.... I took him late in the Huddle ladder league because I was willing to let one of a certain number of backs to slip to me and it just happened to be him.... and then I started realizing that the raiders offense can't be that bad and all they really need is for the OL to have chemistry and gallery to stop being a bust... cory_n_az
I wouldn't touch Jordan. He's injured and there's no guarantee he'll be ready for the regular season (His value, if he has any, will be the first 4 games of the regular season). Terrible OL and the team will be behind in games in all likelihood. Wouldn't want any of them more than a RB4 (I'd take a # of backups in the league before the Raiders starter) Kiffin himself did bring in Rhodes. He inherited Lamont Jordan. Imageek
Tatum Bell is set for a huge year as long as he can hold onto the ball. The receivers down there will demand attention and that will open up Tatum for the dump offs and screens. Martz will utilize him and Kevin Jones is done. Avernus
Thats a lot to ask from a team that had the worst OL last year. I have him as a #3 that I drafted around round 10... he catches well out of the backfield....and the OL has to at least get somewhat better... they have a more disciplined coach...which is what this team needs right now... I agree. Round 10 he is a steal. He has a good 4 weeks (if healthy) to prove he can play well. When Rhodes comes back, if Jordan isnt playing really well, it will be Rhodes that outta get the lions share until Bush gets up to speed and healthy. Once that happens, all other RBs will be worthless.
Avernus
I don't know...I think Jordan can be productive as long as the OL is at least....mediocre... and I'm speaking in PPR leagues of course....
SteelerMurf
Foster. Everyone's annointing DWilliams the next big thing but all signs are pointing to Foster right now. Between Foster Green Jordan Tatum Bell There is going to be a real diamond in the rough there in your middle to late rounds.....I am starting to think twice about jumping on RB3 and waiting a round or 2 to grab one of these guys.
