Bronco Billy
link “We haven’t changed up anything with our techniques or gameplan. We expect whoever is back there to take the same approach,” Colts tackle Ryan Diem said. “I’m sure he can handle the load of carrying the ball 35 times if he needs to.” Though one back might get the lions’ share of the carries, Colts running backs coach Gene Huey cautioned that the Colts don’t necessarily make that emphasis implicit. “We kind of arrived at the idea last year that whoever was out there — whether it was Rhodes or Addai — was the featured back when they were on the field,” Huey said. “We want everyone to realize that when they’re here, they’re not in a back-up role, he’s there in a feature role because he’s one-eleventh of an offense unit that has to produce.” More playing time means obviously means more carries for Addai. He averaged 14 carries per game in 2006. His workload could double this season.

wildcat2334
not buying it- guy is overvalued right now IMO- I htink he will be solid, but is not the #5 RB. I like SA, BW, Rudi over Addai

I like SA, BW, Rudi over Addai I agree. Addai will probably get 20 carries a game or so. DeDe Dorsey will see significant action, but probably less than what Rhodes got. That said, I think that he's a safe bet for 50 receptions (given how Edge was used in the passing game and how Addai was the Colts' leading receiver in the playoffs last year). DMD
In other news......why does Jay Cutler always look high? I always though he looked like his name should be "Chip" or "Sparky". He doesn't look like a Jay Cutler to me.

irish
I disagree, especially in PPR leagues. Same here. I diagree with taking SA and Rudi over Addai especially in PPR leagues. Westy is the only one I'd take before him. Hell I'd take FWP and Bush over SA and Rudi in PPR too. Edited August 16, 2007 by irish
Avernus
not buying it- guy is overvalued right now IMO- I htink he will be solid, but is not the #5 RB. I like SA, BW, Rudi over Addai Westbrook, maybe yes...the other 2 I can't see... Addai is getting the most of the carries and he's on a top 3 offense... plus he's young and is obviously hungry... I already had Addai listed as my 3rd overall pick....I don't see any reason why he can't produce, given the current information that I have... I can come with strong reasons why LJ or Westbrook may not produce...but Addai has a great chance at a strong performance every single week... I'll take 20 carries a game. People don't realize exactly what that is sometimes. 20 carries gives him 320 for the year. Would have ranked 8th in carries last year. Add in his 40-50 catches, and you're looking at a legit top 5 or 7 at worst RB.
yo mama
I already had Addai listed as my 3rd overall pick....I don't see any reason why he can't produce, given the current information that I have... I vacillate between Addai and Gore at the 3 spot in a PPR league. Need to see more of both team's respective O-line play in preseason, and how Gore's hand heals up, in the next fee weeks. MikesVikes
After careful consideration and looking at information posted at the Huddle board, I think that Addai will be a bust this year. ---> Addai runs much smaller & slower than his size & combine times show - his raw talent doesn't translate onto the football field well. He also has an injury history from college. He's the classic guy who looks great in minicamps in Ts & shorts, but when the pads are on he disappears. MikesVikes
Those were BB's words last year about Adai. I think that I would take the gamble on him this year.

FishFreak
He's moving up on everyone's cheatsheets and rightfully so. His situation this year is very similar to S. Jackson's last year. They are both in good offenses, expected to get a lot more touches and will be a big factor in the passing game. Jackson surpassed expectations in a big way but don't be surprised if Addai does the same. They also both had questions about handling the full load.
