Caveman_Nick
There is no need for: 1) trying to maim the other team's QB. Or trying to maim the other team's QB in retaliation for them trying to maim your QB. Or retaliating because of the retaliation by the other team because your team tried to maim their QB before. Just STOP! 2) Celebrating like you just made the playoffs because you sacked a QB in a preseason game. Especially if you are a freaking 18 year veteran. Maybe Seau is celebrating that he finally qualified for the senior citizen discount coffee at Burger King 3) Running Vince Young into the teeth of the Pats defense on the goal line, in hopes of getting a preseason score. If VY goes down, season finito for the Titans. How Freaking stooooooooopid are you to call that play. The retardedness of preseason games really burns my ass sometimes. Although i admit i only caught some of the 2nd quarter and haven't seen everything you're talking about, I was actually enjoying watching the game. It was nice to see the players fired up a bit. Getting me ready for the season. The hits i saw on the qb's seemed like good clean plays.
Hat Trick
This might be why I never bother watching any of them. Yup, i hardly watch them either, it may be NFL football, but its not 100% NFL football and I want to see the real product. I can read the stories and the box scores and figure out who started, who did what, that's all I need.

I'm not saying they weren't "clean" by the textbook definition. I am just saying that there's no need to bodyslam Tom Brady, and there's no need for a Pats defender to do their best Jimmy "SuperFly" Snuka immitation on Vince Young. I want to see these players actually play in the season. Less fired up would be nice IMO. It's a practice game.

No need to sit through some tedious sham of a football game - others do that then tell us the important stuff.
Savage Beatings
Some of these guys are battling for a roster spot... they want to show passion and intensity. As a head coach its definitely not smart to put your star players in harms way since the pre-season is just wrought with potential for serious injury. Just put your second-stringers in there and let them go nuts.

broncosn05
The Patriots were pretty aggressive toward Young. The hit by Harrison was much harder than it needed to be. No need to take shots at a franchise QB especially when he's on madden.
DMD
I did not see the Brady hit but the Young one was a head snapper. Man that looked like it hurt, blindsided from the right.
Donutrun Jellies
Less fired up would be nice IMO. It's a practice game. Maybe they could play touch football instead ... NTTAWWT ... C'mon, they are grown men in full pads playing an aggressive game and making gobs of money doing so. Play hard or go work at Linens & Things. Crazysight
I guess next time, Rodney should hit him "softly." That was a typical Rodney Harrison-sized hit...as a Pats fan, it's great to see him back! Edited August 18, 2007 by Crazysight
Jackass
although VY is a big dude...that hit was excessive.. From Vince Young: "He hit right in the spot he was supposed to hit in - in my chest. He made a good play off of a mistake that we had."

CaptainHook
Any team that has Rodney Harrison has no excuse to complain about cheap shots. Here's to hoping for another season-ending injury to ol' # 37! Edited August 18, 2007 by CaptainHook
CaptainHook
Something I didn't realize about Harrison: He has only played a full 16 game season 6 times in his 14 year career. . .
