Portis

Didn't mean to be confusing I thought his knee tendonitis was common knowledge. I guess techmically not an injury but still a condition that is clearly affecting his ability to play football. I was just wondering how concerned people were over this and whether there were any updates on his condition.

I think its a knee problem.... I'll look for a link

Taken from this site

Clinton Portis – RB – Washington Redskins

RB Clinton Portis (knee) was in Nashville but missed his fourth straight preseason game dating back to last summer. Dr. James Andrews and the team doctors examined Portis in Nashville. Gibbs said they concluded that Portis "is on the right track ... to where (the swelling) will calm down and go away." But there's no date set for Portis' return. He has missed two weeks as of Aug. 13.

From CBS Sportsline (I know, I know...):

Clinton Portis, RB WAS

News: A swollen knee has also slowed Redskins running back Clinton Portis, who has been out for more than two weeks. Portis is not expected to play vs. Pittsburgh on Saturday, leaving Ladell Betts to get the bulk of the carries with the starters.

I read he saw Dr. Andrews which doesn't sound good

He's on the skins payroll. I wouldn't be scared off by the fact he looked at his knee. He looks at all the redskins injuries.

He's on the right track and I believe he'll be fully healed by the start of week 1. I've read that if it was regular season, Portis would be good to go.
