FredGSanford
Watching all these "exhibition" games I have noticed a green dot sticker on the back of the quarterback's helmets. Anybody know what that's all about?
Big John
I put in an explanation in this thread
peepinmofo
They signal to the refs who has the radio communication in the helmets. Im not sure if some teams were cheating or anything like that, but thats what they are for.

I remember the refs making Seneca Wallace use a different helmet when he lined up at WR during a Seahawks game last season.
Skilly
That green sticker just HAS to violate the NFL uniform codes. For God sakes, they have to monitor how much white is showing on their socks! I for one think it's ugly and somewhat distracting.
rajncajn
I for one think it looks like a bullseye on the back of the QBs head.
jjpro11
its going to be a pain in the arse if the qb on the field is also the field goal holder and the team is rushing the field goal unit on the field with seconds left... the qb has to have someone run onto the field and give hime a new helmet or he simply cant hold. btw... what is the penalty if they caught a qb holding the field goal with that helmet on still? Big John
btw... what is the penalty if they caught a qb holding the field goal with that helmet on still? Not clear, but that would look like to be in the umbrella of "unsportmanslike conduct".
