keggerz
http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=259653 Coach Wade Phillips wants to give LB Demarcus Ware every opportunity to rush the passer, so he's using him on both sides of the line of scrimmage. Last season, Ware spent the majority of his time on the right side, so he could attack the quarterback's blindside. The Cowboys need Ware to be a dominant pass rusher for this defense to work. He had 11.5 sacks last season and the Cowboys privately think he can add at least another 3.5 to that total because he's going to blitz much more than he did last season. not sure how private the cowboys kept their thoughts if its being reported by a reporter but nonetheless if Ware can net 15 sacks it will help the cowboys D as well as fantasy players(especially those in sack heavy leagues). darin3
I actually heard something to this effect on local (Austin, TX) radio on the way home from doing some errands earlier this afternoon. They thought Ware would be able to put up some real nice stats, although probably not as good as what Merriman did under Phillips the past few years in SD. Sgt. Ryan
In order for this to work, there has to be a presence opposite ware, or he will just get doubled and chipped by the RB on passing downs.

hutchprime
I doubt he will do what Merriman did unless he's juicing. He could do pretty good though...I really want to pick him up...
Sgt. Ryan
Ware is much lighter and more of a finese/speed player than Merriman who ran through blocks to get to the QB. It will be interesting to see if Merriman off the juice can still accomplish this technique. Also, there were rumblings in Dallas after that draft, that Parcells had info that Merriman used roids in college, and Parcells wondered how much of that was him, and how much of that was the roids. Guess next yr, we will find out. Personally, I think its a lil bit of both. But I can say this, The Boz wasnt near the same player 1 yr removed from the juice. And they both played the same way, physical.
