scuba chuck
Lawrence Timmons, drafted 15th overall to Pittsburgh does not make the IDP top 40 list, despite Jon Beason (25th overall - Car), Paul Posluszny (34th overall - Buf), and Patrick Willis (11th overall - SF) all making the list. Is he expected to polish the bench all season?
darin3
Lawrence Timmons, drafted 15th overall to Pittsburgh does not make the IDP top 40 list, despite Jon Beason (25th overall - Car), Paul Posluszny (34th overall - Buf), and Patrick Willis (11th overall - SF) all making the list. Is he expected to polish the bench all season? Pretty simple... Timmons was drafted to take over Joey Porter's spot on the Pittsburgh line, which has traditionally not scored well. Timmons is a beast and has dynasty value, but quite frankly he's only going to put up modest fantasy stats this year. He's fighting for playing time... and even if he gets a bunch of it, his scheme/position dictates only average fantasy production. And on the flip side, both Beason and Pos go into great situations. Willis' situation is closer to Timmons' but is still expected to put up decent fantasy stats.
keggerz
"scheme matters" and pitt is a 3-4 team and as Darin said that wont bode well for an OLB in most scoring systems...however if you believe that Tomlin will transition pitt into a 4-3(Tampa 2) next yr(I do) and you believe that timmons will man the WILL(I do) then he is going to make for a good buy low candidate in dynasty leagues
