Nabb
For those of you who have auction leagues, do you think LT is worth the 48-50% of your $$ which he will likely require? If he puts up the same numbers as he did last year, I think it might be. However, I dont think he will. I dont think he has anything to prove. Look what happened to Manning after his silly season 2 year ago. Dont get me wrong. I think LT get 15-17 TD and 1900 yards, but so might other RB who wont cost 48-50% of your auction dollars. Personally. I think Steven Jackson is going to put up MONSTER numbers. Any thoughts????
Chargerz
I think LT's TD total will be in the low 20's. Does that change your thinking?
Samson
I was in an auction league today. 16-team league. Tomlinson went for 53% of team budget. Insane.
TecmoBeast
prob will come back down to earth, but his Earthly stats are still 1700 total yards at least. The scary thing about LT is his fantasy playoff schedule w14 @ TEN w15 DET w16 DEN <-- good D, but this is a Monday Night Football game not too many awesome fantasy playoff schedules out there except for Rudi Johnson. I'm not sure if that makes him worth 50% your cap, but worth mentioning
The Wolf
My local had our auction last week. Cap is $300. Because it is a modified keeper (we can keep 1 player) and make trades during the off season, not all teams come in with $300. Some have a bit more and some have less. Our high man was at $333 and we had a guy at $324. I was our low guy at $176 (coming in with SJax and Henry). My brother came in with $265 (and Reggie Bush) and won LT2 for a bid of...$177! That is 59% of a $300 cap. Of course, the rest of his team stinks but you can't tell him that... Edited August 26, 2007 by The Wolf
cliaz
<-- drafting in an auction league right now with a cap of $1000. He went for $
Cementups
When I had him 2 years ago in an auction league ($150 cap) he went for $54 and then I picked Peyton at $27. Two picks and half my money was spent. Then picked up Curtis Martin for $10 and filled the rest of my team with the remaining money with $1-3 picks. BeeR
Went for 39% in our league - still too much for my blood. I thought about 40 for a sec but realized I wanted to buy other top players too.
Bronco Billy
Of course he won't repeat those sick numbers from last year. People predicting that were also most likely the same people who said Manning would throw 50 TDs in '05. Players who set career highs generally regress to their mean the year after - much less set an NFL record. Expect Tomlinson to slip back to the 15-18 rushing TD/1-3 receiving TD range. - And still be well worthy of the 1st pick in a FF draft. The Wolf
- And still be well worthy of the 1st pick in a FF draft. Agreed, he is worthy of the first overall pick in any draft. In an auction, however, he is NOT worthy of the $$$ that he is going for. Take him at #1 in a draft, but let someone else blow their budget on him in an auction. Redfish
Our auction was 8/25. Amazing results, very different than previous years. Not only did LT and SJax both garner 50% of a cap number, eight other RB's and Peyton each went for more than 33%. Usually the top three settle between 33% and 50% and everyone else becomes much more reasonable. Teams blew so much of their cap on Tier 1-3 RB's, I later swooped in and got 5 additional top 30 RB's. Three of them for the minimum (LenDale, Fred T, DeShon F) and McGahee and Barber for less than 12% of cap.
