Crazysight
I've been reading some good things about him, including this from Rotoworld: Demorrio Williams is practicing full tilt at Falcons camp.Impact: The weak-side linebacker is unbelievably already recovered from a torn pectorals muscle and set to be a full-time starter for the first time in his career. He is a strong bet to challenge for the team lead in tackles. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he start at middle linebacker a couple years ago when he scored a ton of points? In the 4-3 defense I would think that his upside would be somewhat limited. I only have room for one more linebacker, and right now I'm wondering if Chad Greenway would be a better pick as the WLB in Minnesota's Tampa-2 defense, even though I know he's returning from an ACL injury. They are both coming off injuries but they also both appear to be doing just fine so I don’t think I’d worry about that. Williams has in his favor the facts that the Falcons starting DTs are old and oft-injured and that he is extremely fast, so he’ll get chances to make plays. What’s working against him is that they have a new (and hopefully improved) defensive coordinator in Mike Zimmer and Williams has to play catch-up a bit because of the injury. He is also a little on the small side and the knock on him (and sometimes all the Falcons LBs) is that they have to chase downfield for tackles. The Falcons also didn’t push to sign him to more than the one-year deal. They have high expectations (not immediately but in the near future) for the rookie, Stephen Nicholas. I think I’d opt for Greenway if it’s a redraft and certainly if it’s a dynasty or keeper league.
