Nick Barnett

Nick Barnett, a GB linebacker, had 123 tackles in 04 and 140 in 05., However, he had 105 tackles last year, and more important fantasy-wise, is that a large bulk of those less tackles were solo tackles.

 

I'm looking for some value for my last pick for my last IDP spot on my roster. Was Barnett just injured last year? Was he moved to strong side? Lose some playing time?

 

I cant really find much about him, so what do you guys think?

1. Barnett played with a "CLUB" hand for part of the year last yr

2. He was not moved to SLB, he played MLB

3. He didnt lose playing time but he did have AJ Hawk playing WLB next to him

He is not going to lose much value IMHO. I would pick him up. He will stay at MLB. There was talk about moving him to SAM but Poppinga is playing very well at that position and Hodge is not working out at MLB like they thought he might (he is on IR now) So I would feel safe picking up Barnett. He will get tackles but he hasn't provided the big plays yet. Perhaps this year. But he will lose some tackles to Hawk.
