JaysGoingDown
From the Sporting News clipping someone sent me. Dennis Northcutt - WR, Jacksonville Jaguars Sep. 5, 9:36 a.m. Northcutt will be the Jaguars' No. 1 receiver entering the season. He has great playmaking ability, but is haunted by a history of dropping passes. (Michael Wright for SN) Fantasy Source spin: The fact that Northcutt is the Jaguars' top receiving option should be enough reason for you to avoid anyone on the roster not named Maurice or Fred. peepinmofo
I think itll be a toss up of who is #1. There wont be a dominant #1 WR at all.
loaf
I couldn't be more adamant about Northcutt than I am that Kellen Winslow will be good to go this season. Northcutt's had plenty of chances to succeed here with the Browns and he couldn't do it. Kevin Johnson could. Andre Davis to some extent. He's proven that as a WR, he's a great Punt Returner. muck
Northcutt = 500-600 yds and 2-4 TDs Jones = 400-700 yds and 2-6 TDs Williams = 300-800 yds and 1-5 TDs Wilford = 400-700 yds and 2-5 TDs ...pig slop...

That's the most accurate assessment of what you can expect from the Jags WR corps that I've seen this entire preseason, and this is coming from a homer that has to actually suffer through it. (Or not...that's what Fantasy Football and Directv's Sunday Season Ticket is for, right?!?) Jay, I don't know why you're agonizing over Northcutt. I'm in four leagues and he's currently a free agent in all four of them. If you think there might be something there and you want to give him a shot, then just drop one of the guys you took in the last round or two of your draft and pick him up. Hi, I have the Jacksonville DEF, and I get 10 points for return TDs. I get the same thing for Return TDs, from my offensive players (WR and RBs). Plus I get 1 point for every 10 return yards. That's why I would want to grab him, and get double return. (10 points for both WR and DEF, in this case).
muck
JGD ... just because your league has some unusual scoring rules doesn't mean we automatically know about them (and take them into consideration when providing advice).

CaptainHook
Why don't you just pick him up and quit asking about him then? Honestly, I think he sucks, and wouldn't want him on my team even with those scoring rules.
