The organization certainly has plans beyond Glenn. Knees just don't get better over time, so I am quite certain Phillips and especially Jones has confidence in the rest of the roster. I am much more concerned about Newman then Glenn. Hurd can play and so can Crayton.

I recall the Cowboys going to superbowls with Irvin and Alvin Harper, Irvin and Alfredo Roberts, Irvin and Alexander Wright. Add a strong running game (All Time Emmitt), Pro Bowl TE (Novacek), a great O line, a stingy, fast defense and VOILA, a SuperBowl ring.

That being said, T.O.(Pro Bowl Caliber) and Crayton or Hurd as Wide outs, Witten (Pro Bowler) and Fasano as TEs, Jones and Barber heading up the running game (neither is Emmitt but together might just put up Emmitt type numbers), the line is good and could be great with Flo, Colombo, Davis, and Gurode, throw in Wade's pressure D and VOILA, sounds like a Division Title and Ring run to me.

I believe we have seen the last of T. Glenn, a blow yes, but a glancing one because Hurd and Crayton are ready.............All that time T.O. spent with Hurd after practice last year is about to pay off......... :D

Just picked Crayton up in one of my leagues as I think he has a very solid year with Glenn possibly out for the year. He just might be one of those WRs that you claim off the WW and plays a major role for fantasy teams. Happens every year.

Yeah I missed him but got Hurd who has great hands and whom I like for deeper in the season. I like both guys to do well as possession receivers with lots of catches while T.O. is the deep strike guy.

Well he was drafted in that one now wasn't he I believe in the 15 rd. Well I grabbed Furrey in the 17th so I'm happy to have him 2 rounds later.

I think the chances are going up-up-up that Glenn is done for at least a large portion of the season.

Rotoworld is reporting the 'Boys contacted Reche Caldwell's rep.

It's just to bad Stanback missed so much work because if it's speed we need, and we could certainly use it, he has it.........But Caldwell is sittin at home for a reason and I trust Belichick's judgement as they chose Gaffney and Washington over him.

No, but we hung a BIG $SS L on your perfect season. Not near a banner but sweet none the less........Sometimes it's the LiL things that get you through........

Colts also lost to the Texans, Jags, and Titans so the perfect season wasn't exactly something I thought was gonna happen. WInning the SB was good enough for me. Just a little trash talk. 'Boys could come out of the NFC. I just don't have much confidence in Wade Philipps. I mean who benches their QB who helped them qualify for the play-offs the week before a play-off game for Rob Johnson? That's just dumb.

What are they saying about Glenn? If it's meniscus, that's bad news . . .

I with ya hook. It's that time of year again and I love it...........Your Colts sure came out and made a statement, that's for sure, I hope we can do the same.........

It's bad news, I'm sure of it. They're just out getting seconds to be sure that can't patch him up somehow with gorrilla glue or some $hit before they tell us he can't play this year, that's all.

So Parcells was right all along. :D

Sadly enough, he's right most of the time when it comes to personnel as you can see now. The one thing I liked about Parcells is that he agonized about contingencies. He was always; well if this guy goes down, then this guy plays and what if he goes down too, better get on the phone now? Parcells seemed to be a phone call away from having plugged the hole. Phillips has thought through the first wave but what about the second and third............I believe in him as stated above but I know Parcells better.......

Terry Glenn tells ESPN's Ed Werder that he's leaning towards having arthroscopic knee surgery rather than a microfracture procedure.

This would give him a chance to play again this season, but comes with no guarantees. Glenn had his first knee scope of the preseason just over a month ago and that couldn't cure his problems. "I'm really leaning toward taking the (damaged) piece out and trying to play this year," Glenn told Werder, "even though I'm risking the rest of my career by doing that."

Latest found on rotoworld. Reads to me like Glenn's trying to play this year at all costs, including the rest of his career. IMO put a fork in him.

Is Crayton better than Mark Clayton if he stays the starter? I'm not real confident in Steve McNair consistently finding Clayton and not favoring Mason even if he proves still capable of passing the ball.

Not even close.

This is bad, IMHO. I realy like Crayton and Hurd but neither has the speed to draw coverage deep opening things up for Witten and TO. As a result, I'd expect both of them to see a bunch of double coverage until Craton can show the consistency he hasn't shown so far.

I'm not going to jump off any bridges just yet but I don't like this one bit. This is essentially the same team as last year minus River but + Hamlin. We were a wildcard loser and now we are without Glenn and I'm getting a sick feeling about Newman, and we haven't even played a game yet. Not feeling so good about this year now. At least I have Michigan football to fall back on. :D
