millerx
Univ. of South Florida just beat Auburn. WOW!! I write this because of the passion that I saw out of the USF football team. I say this because they probably aren't as talented as the "top tier" teams that the "press" gives that title to...but man, they playfull out, to win!! I sat and watched (earlier today) my top favorite teams FSU and UGA play. And all I can say is Ugghh!! Teams like USF make me love the sport of football again!! Willing to take on all teams!! Never backing down, never giving up!! Just full out football!! You have to give credit to the coaches and players of a team like that! God, you have to give it to a team like that! I remember back in the day, when FSU use to be that team. Back when they use to be that team that took nothing for granted, when they would never overlook anybody, and make sure to take it to every team that stepped on a field with them. It's sad to see a team (like FSU) that use to have that tenacity, get to the point where they think that just by showing up, they should win. I mean USF takes the leftovers that the big 3 (UF,FSU,Miami) in the state of Flordia doesn't want, and makes lemonade out of it. I use FSU as my example of previous teams that had that inspiration, however it could just as well be any other team that rose from nowwhere to become a threat. Hell, even "THE U" can make that statement!! I mean both Miami and FSU were independent teams at one point, just trying to make a name for themselves...but with that passion, and that commitment to excell, they became what everyone knows them for today. Even if it is a shadow of what they once were. I tire of seeing these teams that are overrated (aka Michigan, etc.) getting credit just because of a name..... I tire of seeing teams with that credit getting use to the idea that teams should just lie down because of their reputation.... Long live teams like the University of South Florida!!!!! Congrats!! And thank you for keeping me coming back to more college football!! Edited September 9, 2007 by millerx

polksalet
Talk about traitors! I woke up one day, took a bath, and drove 40 miles to the south. It is where I belong. My idiot ancestors moved to Arkansas 90 years back in search of fortune.
