MikesVikes
Why did they inactivate Moore? Besides having only 3 RBs and 3 FBs on the roster, now they have to inactivate one of the three?

Moss6
Why did they inactivate Moore? Besides having only 3 RBs and 3 FBs on the roster, now they have to inactivate one of the three? Apparently he was healthy James, Ferguson, Moore outSeptember 9th, 2007 – 10:05 AM by Judd Zulgad The Vikings must not feel Erasmus James is ready to play yet. The defensive end is one of the team’s inactives for today’s game against the Falcons. Joining him on the sideline will be receiver Robert Ferguson (ankle) and running back Mewelde Moore. The decision on Moore, who is healthy, is a surprise in that he was expected to be the team’s primary punt returner. The Vikings’ two running backs will be Chester Taylor and Adrian Peterson.Kelly Holcomb will be the third quarterback today, meaning Brooks Bollinger will be the backup to Tarvaris Jackson. Holcomb will take over as the No. 2 quarterback when he’s up to speed with the Vikings’ offensive scheme.James is returning from a knee injury he suffered in the second game last season. He began training camp on the physically unable to perform list. Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier has said James will return to the starting role at right end when he’s healthy but at this point he’s still hobbled. Ray Edwards will start at right end. Also inactive for the Vikings are safety Mike Doss (calf), tight end Garrett Mills, tackle Chase Johnson and defensive end Jayme Mitchell.Ferguson’s absence means the Vikings will have four receivers active: Bobby Wade, Sidney Rice, Troy Williamson and Aundrae Allison. The offensive line will be thin with Anthony Herrera and Marcus Johnson as the only backups. Herrera, in fact, is listed as the primary backup at three positions (both guard spots and center). The Falcons’ inactive list includes safety Chris Crocker; offensive linemen D’Anthony Batiste, Quinn Ojinnaka and Tyson Clabo; defensive tackle Rod Coleman; tight end Martrez Milner; and defensive end Josh Mallard. Casey Bramlet is the third quarterback for Atlanta.Update: It looks as if running back Adrian Peterson will be returning kickoffs today. An interesting move considering Peterson didn’t do this in the preseason.– Vikings captains were Antoine Winfield, Chester Taylor and Heath Farwell. Gros Membres!
mini LJ = AD I'd say 100+ yards rushing and 60 yds receiving in his first game is pretty freakin' awesome! (Granted the ATL D is a seive)
giantsfan
This may prove to be a meaningless point/question because we don't know Taylor's status yet, but assuming he is healthy to play next week how does Minny justify AP not getting 20 carries period. They should say hey Chester you have been good, but AP can be special and may be our O.
LiL10(s)ArEaJoKe
Peterson is AD....(All Day) looks like there might be several teams b4 Minn in the draft kickin themselves in the butt. AD will be a stud RB just didnt think he would make such a bang this quick. Dude is a freak, but his biggest downside is loves to deliver the blow whcih will, in the long term, shorten his career. He was huge at OU now looks like his just picking up right where he left off. Good luck AD BOOMER
