cdrudge
I took a nasty blow to my head the Saturday before Labor Day and spent 3 days in the ICU as a result for a precautionary measure. I still have headaches and neck pain. When I think about what he went through and how he is feeling, I just can't imagine it. There was a story on CNN yesterday that I read that said someone with a background in physics computed that he had nearly 2/3 of a ton of force applied to his head/spine. My thoughts and prayers definitely go out to him.
Piranha
This is truly a tragic thing indeed. I was actually at the game and it was a very scary scene. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. Edited September 11, 2007 by Piranha

Menudo
Prayers sent..... I was just thinking of this today. The Steelers open with the Bills at home this weekend. I'll be in the crowd, and I hope they do a moment of silent prayer for him. Also, though I'll still root for the Steelers as always, because life must move on, if the Bills win, there will be a part of me that is happy for them due to the circumstances they are dealing with. These teams become families, and it has to be tough on the team to get ready for a football game with all of this happening to a member of their team. Best wishes go out to Kevin Everett and those close to him.
Randall
GOOD news. (Buffalo, NY September 11, 2007) - - News 4 Medical Reporter Dr. Peter Ostrow says he's learned injured Buffalo Bills Tight End Kevin Everett has voluntary movement of his arms and legs. This is a dramatic improvement over the prognosis given just yesterday at a Buffalo Bills news conference. Orthopedic surgeon Doctor Andrew Cappuccino said Monday that Everett suffered a "catastrophic" life-threatening spinal-cord injury in Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos. He said Everett's chances of regaining a full range of body motion were not very likely. But tonight Dr.Ostrow reports Dr. Cappuccino is much more optimistic. You can see Dr. Ostrow's entire story on Kevin Everett's recovery on WIVB.com

Sgt. Ryan
per espn radio, he has voluntary movement in his extremities. Now how much, and which ones, were not disclosed. But this is definately a great news, considering what was being said yesterday.

Turf Smurf
Keep your prayers. What he needs is the best neurological orthopedic surgeon that exists, along with his/her staff. Seems he has that, or something close. The rest is up to him and his body.
