Griffon31
I'm in a 16 team league that starts 1 QB, 2 RB, 1 RB/WR, 2 WR, 1 WR/TE, 1 TE, 1 K 1D, the commish decided to change many rules after week one. The one that can actually affect teams the most is now you can get points for punt and kick off return yards 1/25. Other than Dante Hall, the first that comes to mind any other recommendations or is there a list of starting WR's that has returning duty as well? Doc Holliday
Hester from the Bears. That being said....I would not want to be ina league where the commish makes rules up after the season starts.
muck
Changing the rules after the start of the season w/o a vote = a league you need to get out of after the season is over. Bush-league move by the commish.
Griffon31
Hester was drafted. I'm not happy about it either, and thank goodness it is free, I only did it for the challenge of it being 16 teams so no money lost. I'm happy with my team with my core being Westbrook, E James, Jordan, A Johnson, V Jackson, so just looking for another advantage. They are even kicking around making it a PPR league, with who I have already that would be great
Seahawks21
what a joke of a league. if I had RB's that didn't catch passes I would quit the league on the spot.

Grimm74
I could not play in that league. Trade your best players to a buddy of yours and start all kickers. The the commish he can go stuff himself. It is BS and I would never stand for it. just on principle alone.

Under the revised rules, this strategy will work better if you start kickers who also return kicks.

I play in 2 leagues, one I pay for and another that is purely for fun (gotta beat my kids at SOMETHING). In the pay league we get a sheet with the scoring. In the free league the rules are posted on the website and they don't change all season.
Feartheturtle
Under the revised rules, this strategy will work better if you start kickers who also return kicks. Unfortunately, you will still get some points by starting all kickers. I would try to start all return guys that are no longer in the league. They picked him up from Detroit in the offseason...and with Kennison out now...he could see some spot duty at WR....but to be honest that is if he is still on the roster...I haven't checked. LosGatosEnFuegos
Return yards are not worth pursuing. One of my leagues uses 1/20. It is very rare for a returner to put up numbers rivaling another player who actually sees a lot of plays at their position. As an example, the Saints had a lot of points put up on them last week. There were a fair number of kickoffs. Lance Moore put up 4.7pts in my league for 65 return yards and 15 punt return yards. Big whoop. If you're relying on that kind of production, you're going to lose anyway. Don't chase the dragon here. Also, i'm not a violent person, but if my commish changed the rules after week 1, i would jack him in the mouth. Cunning Runt
If I've said it once, I'll say it a million times - You guys that say " I'd quit, or I'd find another league, blah, blah, blah..." crack me up. Is it optimal that a commish changed the rules? No. Do leagues grow on trees? No, they don't. So you adjust, express your displeasure to ensure it doesn't happen again, and move on. If it's a big enough issue - deal with it by having the league overturn the the commish's act. It doesn't sound to me in reading the initial post that it was in this league. I seriously do not see why the first comment out of so many of you is "I'd quit". Good - f'ing quit ya babies. Not everything in life is perfect and if you can't either adapt or make the appropriate changes via a league decision, then see ya. Don't let the door hit ya on the way out. Seahawks21
Free league I quit todayMoney league I quit after the season. This is backwards. If I paid money and drafted a team for one set of rules and then the commish switches up on me, I would promptly get a refund. If he would not give me a refund, I would beat it out of him. It is that simple. Don't mess with my money. Now, since this is a free league there isn't enough junk to get worked up about. Roll with the punches. If you want to be in the league, do it. But no, return guys are mostly specialists, and are not startable.
Seahawks21
Come to think of it, Burleson might be a decent add right now.
Griffon31
Thanks for all the input guys. I don't plan on quitting the league, the reason I joined it was for the challenge of at 16 team league. I ended up with Hall and he is my 5th WR behind A Johnson, V Jackson, Crayton, and Randle El. I don’t think I’ll need him but always looking for an advantage.
