Cowboyz1
Earlier I predicted that Julius Jones would have a breakout year and have equal touchdowns then Barber. I was WRONG. Barber is so much better and tougher then Jones it's painful to see the lopsided differences between them. Barber is just a man beast running the rock while JJ looks lost out there. Late in the 4th quarter, on 3rd and 3 at DAL 31, Jones came up short by a yard, I said to myself what the hell is he doing in there. That was Phillips giving Jones his shot and he blew it. Barber would have made that yard. The stats tell the story. Barber 14 for 89 yards and 2 TD's while Jones, on one extra carry, can only muster 32 yards. Barber simply runs smarter and harder then Jones. While Barber is punishing tacklers and always falling forward for more yardage, Jones ends up stopped cold or upended on every play. I have never seen a team were the starter gets outplayed in every game. Barber just took his game to another level and Jones is just getting dusted by every measurement you want to use. Sad thing is he's got to know it and still can't do anything about it. Barber is going to get a new contract and Jones will not. Message will be sent, loud and clear. Jones is just resting Barber and not the other way around.
Outshined
He is good...I wish the Vikes would have drafted him. A steal in the third round - we needed a good RB at the time.

It is a bit inverse how they do it with Jones starting but for now and really the rest of the year this is the right move. Barber gets all the 3rd downs and goal line carries. Neither of these things Jones can do well. You can not have Barber on the field all game so keeping Jones the starter and basically making him a 1st and 10 runner is the way to go for now. I too was wrong on this situation, and Im here to stand up and admit it.
bushwacked
Earlier I predicted that Julius Jones would have a breakout year and have equal touchdowns then Barber. The continued use of the best back in Barber was never in doubt beyond diehard homers.
Cowboyz1
The continued use of the best back in Barber was never in doubt beyond diehard homers. Jones has the talent but not the heart. I thought he did and was held back by conservative and controlling Parcells, but that was not the case......... Grits and Shins
It looks like the Cowboys use JJ in the first half and Barber in the second half
Bronco Billy
While it may be true that MBIII is a better RB than Jones, Jones owners can take heart that with Wade Phillips in charge Jones will still get plenty of carries - just like last night where he got more rushes than Barber despite being less productive by a wide margin. MikesVikes
I don't see the point of staying with Jones. Only that they are going to get some mileage out of him before he becomes a FA. That's about it. So is that the same as saying that the Cowboys aren't running their best players out there for the win? It's a complicated game and sometimes coaches or owners make it more complicated than it is.
Hat Trick
The continued use of the best back in Barber was never in doubt beyond diehard homers. Truth, it was as glaring as is Grossman.
FishFreak
Was there ever really any doubt? It's all about production on the field and Barber has been more productive with less touches. The funny thing is their current RBBC situation benefits Barber more based on the situations he's getting his touches from a fantasy perspeactive. Grits and Shins
If it ain't broke don't try to fix it ... the Cowboy offense is rolling with the mixture of JJ and MBIII that is being used I see no reason they should alter it. alexgaddis
Glad to see some homers finally come around! MBIII is the better running back for this team and this offense...
WorstCoachingEver
Glad to see some homers finally come around! MBIII is the better running back for this team and this offense... Cowboy homer here. I had no doubt that MB3 is the better back. However, I like the system the way it is. MB3 is flourishing in his role. Why change it? The bigger question is: do the Cowboys let MB3 go as a restricted FA after the season (they'll let JJ go as he's unrestricted)? The Cleveland win yesterday didn't help the McFadden lottery for us Cowboys fans!!!
slickvick
Hope the Cowboys get McFadden.I would love to see MBIII in Green and Gold next year.

You'd probably have to give up a 2nd rounder AND deal with Rosenhaus. Good luck with that! (the Rosenhauas part).
