Just curious what some of the other Lee Evan owners out there are thinking. Obviously, the NE matchup is terrible so who is benching him this week and what WR are you starting in his place?

Interesting thing about Evans. Last season at this time he had 4 catches for 44 yards. In week 3 he busted out with 8/107. But that was against the Jets at home. Evans had 2 of his 3 worst games last year against the Patriots totalling 3 catches for 35 yards. It might be a safe move to consider benching him this week if you have a reasonable alternative, but one long completion to the end zone (hey, it could happen) might make you regret the move.

I'm starting B.Edwards and J.Galloway over Evans this week. I'm going to wait to see him have a good game (or even two) before I plug him into my lineup for the first time this year. He'll get his eventually, but its going to have to be a good matchup and after a few good games. :D

Regardless of how poor he may perform this week, I will 100% be starting him next week against the Jets, thats when his schedule finally starts to ease up so he should start to get back to form.

I made this analogy about Evans a couple of years ago. He is the Dave Kingman of WR's. Streaky as all get out, but can blow up in any given game, and yes, even against the Pats. When he has that game, usually twice, sometimes 3 times a year, he will garrantee you a win. Problem is, you have to live with some pretty poor production on a weekly basis. I didn't draft him this year, but I have in the past, and I would get two solid possession guys, like a Coles and a Driver to start for the consistant production. Losman himself said they will continue to try to complete the bomb to Evans. He's an all or nothing (or next to little) start. At the end of the season, his numbers will look good, but it will mostly come from about 3 games.

Well thanks to him, MJD and V.Davis I'm 0-2 :D

I'm benching him this week......My starters Fitzgerald (agains Balt), Calvin Johnson, and B.Engram....

I can't afford another 20 yd day.....although as some said that late deep TD will probably cause me to break something.

I love this game...... :D

Great analogy and total agreement here.

Evans seems to me to be the type to stiff you when you think he should score and completely blow up the week you've finally lost patience and benched him. I steered clear...

It always seems like he does nothing except during the weeks I go against him...so this year I drafted him (for the first time in any league) to keep him off my back. Looks like it's working so far! So, yeah, he's on the bench for me this week as well...forcing me to go with two TEs for lack of a better option :D

I'm playing him. You never know when the bomb will hit it's target as it can hit at any given time. Having Lee Evans and playing the bench-and-start game is like carrying 2 kickers and trying to guess which one will score week by week. I just figure I'll get all his good weeks this way, and won't have the added burden of kicking myself if I guess wrong one of those good weeks. And they have just barely missed on a couple bombs vs a couple good defenses already. And I never carry 2 kickers except to get through that first bye week, so I guess that's just how I am.
