keggerz
http://www.palmbeachpost.com/dolphins/cont...=7&cxcat=46 In 1999, Thomas said he thought he might have to give up the game because almost every hit resulted in a "flash'' in his head. Thomas was unavailable for comment Thursday. "As you can imagine, the player wants to play," Cameron said. "You know what it means to lose a player like Zach Thomas, but there is a lot bigger picture that we're accountable to." The NFL is taking a closer look at prevention and treatment of concussions. It has begun testing players to gather baseline information that will be used if the player suffers a concussion. Outside linebacker Joey Porter said he didn't notice anything different about Thomas during Sunday's game, but he does remember that after the first play Thomas was asking for a new mouthpiece. "He kept wanting another mouthpiece, now that I think about it," Porter said. "But he kept playing football. ... A new mouthpiece always fits tighter. When you have a concussion, you can't bite down as hard." Thomas chased down Cowboys all day and afterward spoke to reporters for about 20 minutes in the locker room. "He's been getting hit in the head for 12 years, he's always lightheaded and wobbly," joked Crowder, the third-year linebacker who considers Thomas his mentor. If Thomas can't play, Crowder will move from his outside position to the middle and Derrick Pope will replace Crowder.

gilthorp
This is the first year I grabbed him in my limited IDP local. Just start one, and I backed him up with Farrior, who I hope is a decent backup.

ropeman
How are these guys available? We only start 1/1/1 and most owners aren't really keeping an eye on IDPs.
Swiss Cheezhead
Seems this is the yearly downside to owning Zach. Glad I never have.
