The Pack is definitely for real this year. I didn't get to see the SD game today, but holding LT to under 100 yds combined is impressive, no matter if Norv Turner is coaching.

The front 7 for the Pack might be vying for the best unit in the league, and Al Harris and Woodson are doing a pretty good job in the secondary. Big win for the Pack today. I guess I have to start giving Favre some respect, again, too. I love the guy, but really thought he was hurting the team by hanging around for all the records. I guess he must be taking his Flintstone chewables this year.

The D is absolutely for real. So is the passing offense. If Green Bay is to be a serious NFC contender, they have to find something on the ground. Even if you're not getting a lot of ypc, you still need to run it a few times more than today.

Yeah, no kidding.

The passing game looks like it should be feared by all their opponents - Favre is getting plenty of time and the WRs are making plays. The D has been impressive to this point - it was great vs Philly, showed some cracks vs NYG, and looked damn good today. The special teams didn't necessarily make any game-changing plays this week, but were solid, and after their contributions vs Phi and NYG, I'm willing to be magnanimous and let that slide.

But that running game isn't scaring anyone. IMO you can't win if you don't run.

TE's Lee and Franks are also showing better than I had feared heading into the season. Also, Crosby was good on the kickoffs today, 3 touchbacks out of 6.

But like everyone else has said, the Pack needs to generate a decent semblance of a running game to be a real threat this season.

I think by week 6-8 the running game will be more clear. They seem to be working on 1-2 backs to stick with and it may take a little time. Having a defense and decent passing game gives them a little time for it to develop.

I am thinking S.D. fans are realizing how much Schottzy meant about now. what do you mean you let the coach go after he turns you into a winning team and coming off of a 14 win season?

I never thought Marty was a bad coach. He just had trouble winning in the playoffs. Right now the Chargers are having trouble winning in the regular season. :D

If Eric Parker just falls on his fumbled punt. If Florence does not head butt Graham on 3rd and long. If Marlon McCree just falls down instead of getting stripped by Troy Brown.

If any of these happen the Chargers may have won the Super Bowl last season. I never understood how Marty was responsible for any of these. If any coach deserved to be held responsible for that game it was Cam Cameron for not staying with Tomlinson.
