Vet
Shanny is really, really smart. Smarter than all the other coahes in the NFL. Smarter than all of us on the website.....combined.
Skilly
The game really turned on that Sevin Young fumble. The Broncs were moving the ball, and only down by 7 or 10 at that point. That killed them. The defense: Are they really that devoid of talent? Losing Al Wilson is obviously showing. Maybe the rooks just need some time to get into the groove. Is it Jim Bates's scheme? I say put 9 in the box and let Champ handle everything in the secondary. The offense: Looks like Shanny tried to get too cute this game. I think he tends to "overgameplan" and gets caught up with the different player / scheme matchups in mind, rather than just letting his players do what they do best. And for God's sake, start using the tight ends more! It's so dissappointing because there doesn't seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel for this team: if they somehow make the playoffs, they'll have to go up against Indy or NE--what possible chance do they have? Slim to none.

H8tank
When's the last time a coach lost track of which down it was? Garrard did it, why do you hate black quarterbacks?
CaptainHook
Making your defensive tackles inactive and playing 3 defensive ends on the line against the Colts was genius. Edited October 1, 2007 by CaptainHook

Shanahan is the smartest football mind on the face of the planet. Don't even think of questioning him - a puny mind like your can't possibly understand his intellect. At least we have Norv Turner's boys at home next weekend. If DEN loses that game it could be the turning point that makes this a very, very long & unsuccessful season. Right now Oakland looks like the best team

With Norv's acumen he may just decide that since everyone expects him to run L.T. since Madden's Grandmother could gash the Broncos D for 6 yards a carry that he will go the other direction and challenge Denver's corners on every single play. Norv is always one step ahead like that. Actually i don't see how L.T. goes for less than 200 yards and three scores next week.

I would say that the Donkeys should just put 9 in the box on every play, but that really wouldn't matter because their only decent tackler is Bailey, playing corner. Shanny better start figuring a way to get the ball in the endzone on every drive, because that defense suck-didley-ucks.
