CaptainHook
Remember the discussion about the Jags, and I said I didn't think Del Rio is a very good coach? You disagreed, stating the record of the Jags under him. I didn't watch all the Broncos/Jags game yesterday, but I found this interesting clip: The Jaguars took a 17-7 halftime lead that could have been bigger had Garrard not spiked the ball on third-and-goal from the 1 in the waning seconds, forcing the field goal unit to come on. "The coaches were yelling at me, 'Spike the ball!' I kept thinking to myself, 'Why are they telling me to spike the ball?"' Garrard said. "I don't know. We had a timeout, we definitely should have used it. Even after I spiked that ball, I could have (dived) over the top. We were only inches away. We're going to work on stuff like that and hopefully try not to have that happen again." After Garrard's perplexing spike, Carney kicked a 19-yarder for a 17-7 halftime lead. But the Jags still won. Del Rio is still a dumb-dumb in my opinon. Edited September 24, 2007 by CaptainHook

CaptainHook
But the suit makes him look smarter I honestly think that's why he wears it.
Caveman_Nick
Yeah...he sucks as a coach....what was I thinking. His defense is only second in the league in points allowed, and his team is sitting at 2-1. Man, I must be as dumb as he is

His punter almost cuts his foot off messing around with said axe. Has helped develop high first round draft picks Byron Leftwich, Reggie Williams, and Matt Jones into first round busts. Cuts his starting QB a week before the season. The same starting QB he'd benched the year before in favor of Garrard. Gave up 282 yards rushing at home to Tenn, and refused to change defensively during the game to stop the run. Beat the lowly Falcons by 7 at home. Nice win vs. Broncs (but with a pretty big gaffe before halftime). yeah, he's who I'd want leading Jacksonville. (and as a Colts fan, I mean that) Edited September 25, 2007 by CaptainHook
