Has an offense trying to run the clock out by taking a knee every turned the ball over by screwing up the snap? I was wondering if it every happned while I was watching the Giants run out the clock yesterday. If it has, did the opposing team take in for a score to win it?

1978 Miracle in the Meadowlands. The Herm returned a Joe Pisarcik fumble to win the game. Although Pisarcik did try to hand it off not kneel so it was not quite like you were saying.

It happened in a HS game here in KC.

QB forgets to kneel on the last snap. An attentive LB keeps coming and takes the ball as the stands empty ... iirc, the game was to see who was going to play for the state championship and the team that was winning was a HUGH underdog ... and the LB takes the ball and returns it for the game winning TD.
