First two games, the kid looks pretty big, fast, tough over the middle....8 catches for 109 yds and a TD...speculation that he could emerge as a target of McNabb's. Etc. Then comes Sunday's Kevin Curtis/Westy show and Avant gets one catch, 9 yards. As a 4th passing option at best behind Westy, Curtis and even the disappearing Reggie Brown, is Avant worth hanging onto as a possible Flex/bye-week sub? matt770 Posted September 25, 2007 Share Posted September 25, 2007 I was at the game Sunday and it was obvious they were exploiting the Curtis matchup; I don't know who was trying to cover him but he was toast. So McNabb threw to him all day long. Brown and Avant were non factors. Like most #3 WRs, Avant is going to be hit or miss and probably isn't worth keeping except in deeper leagues.
