gd74
Just curious if Detroit homers have heard anything... Did his foot get swelling after the game ? Has he been named the starter ? Will he see significant more touches this week ?
MrTed46
Fanball.com 09/23/07 05:36 PM THE NEWS Kevin Jones, who had been out with a Lisfranc injury, made his season debut against the Eagles on Sunday. He received very little work, carrying just three times for five yards, although he did find the end zone when he was given the ball at the two-yard line in the first quarter. Our View The Lions will likely continue to be cautious with Jones over the next couple of weeks, although the fact that he received the ball at the goal line is certainly an encouraging sign. Best I could find.

Zooty
Cute....but can someone post something relevant to the post.... to Mr. Ted.... thank you I gnu you would say that Anyway, read here and there that his touches would increase. He probably would have had more but being down 21 points and plays called by Martz, its hard to run. I'm keeping him on the bench myself since they are playing Chicago. Chief
In regards to personnel, Head Coach Rod Marinelli confirmed following the Lions’ Wednesday afternoon practice that running back Kevin Jones would be starting this week against Tampa Bay. BetterOff
“He’s ready to go,” Lions coach Rod Marinelli said Wednesday after practice. “He’s going to start.” Tatum Bell has started each game for the Lions this season and his agent talked to them last week about trading him before Tuesday’s deadline, which passed with him still on the team. Detroit (3-2) hosts Tampa Bay (4-2) after a bye week that aided Jones’ comeback. “The break was good for my foot, and my body in general,” Jones said. “I feel healthier this week.”
MrTed46
TB defense is stingy. I am going to wait a week and see what happens. But I am happy to hear he is comign back as I drafted him in all of my re-draft locals.

CD6405
Well, this sucks all around. My running backs are C. Benson, R. Johnson, K. Jones, L. White and M. Bennett. Benson sucks, Rudi Johnson may screw me over again this week (4 carries for a day just doesn't cut it), and you never know how many carries Jones will get. White is hit or miss because SOMETIMES he can get a touchdown, and Bennett....well, you know who he is. On the plus side is that Detroit does end up passing to KJ. Last year 61 receptions, very nice in ppr leagues

If Tampa tries the same strategy that WAS did against Detroit, KJ should be open for those little swing passes that made him a fantastic contributor for PPR leagues last year. I would expect Jones's contributions - both fantasy and NFL - to increase quickly over the next week or two.
