Easy n Dirty
I'm in a bind this weekend with Delhomme hurt and both of my backups on a bye - but the silver lining is that despite being in a large league with deep rosters, there are a number of potential starting QBs for this weekend available on waivers. And so I am forced to ask some unseemly questions: Who is starting in Oakland, McCown (available) or Culpepper (not)? How about Baltimore - Boller (available) or McNair (not)? And throw Minnesota into the mix too - Holcombe (available) or Jackson (not)? I suspect Griese is not gonna' make it to me in waivers, and I'd prefer not to be stuck with Edwards in Buffalo, although it beats taking a zero (maybe). Any updates on those three teams' QB situation for this weekend is appreciated, thanks.
Hugh 0ne
Holcomb is starting for the Vikes this week, from everything I've read/heard. Edited September 26, 2007 by Hugh 0ne
Hugh 0ne
Oh, and he's a must start this week. Childress: "We definitely need to start to put some balls down the field, stretch the field a little bit," he said. "Obviously, we're going to be able to rush the ball well if we continue to do [what we've been doing]. ... But we're going to have to stretch the field to be able to let these teams know, 'You're not going to be able to stack the box and stop this run game." Grits and Shins
I feel your pain brotha ... my QBs in my local are Vince Young, Jason Campbell and .... Alex Smith I just wasn't all fired up about starting Alex so cut him this morning to acquire Griese ... missing the boat on Derek Anderson. Sorry I can't answer your questions ... but I went through the same pains this morning Good luck

vikinglion
Still no definitive word in Oakland on Culpepper over McCown?
loaf
Culpepper is starting. No link, it was on TV. McCown has a broken toe or something like that
Randall
Troy Williamson 203 yards 4 TDs You need to put down those drugs. Has he had 4 TD's in his entire career?
justin
As of now, McNair is starting in Cleveland. Would not be surprised to see Boller in the 2nd half.
Return Of S&B
McCown has a broken toe...he was seen by the local press with a protective boot on his foot. Never say never, because McCown has been listed as Doubful before, but I fully expect Culpepper to start against Miami this Sunday as well as the next several weeks...dependent on Culpepper's performance of course

timnmakayla
The latest from Fanball is: Raiders: Things looking down for McCown 09/26/07 10:37 PM THE NEWS Raiders quarterback Josh McCown will very likely miss Sunday's game with the Dolphins because of the hairline fracture of his right toe, according to NFL.com. The injury has improved since it forced McCown out of last week's game, but not enough for people to be optimistic about his prospects for Week 4. Our View Daunte Culpepper will get the start Sunday if McCown isn't available. Culpepper has had enough time to get up to speed on the Raiders offense, so he should be able to post respectable numbers against the Dolphins
