dfv87
What is the recent news or is it still day to day?
abishagenaden
Don't think there's anything new. Rudi said he feels good and should be able to play, but that might not be his medical staff's opinion. It's really still too early to say, and more definitive news should be available by Friday. The Irish Doggy
The history with Marvin Lewis is if a player does not practice, he will not play. So, its wait and see.

The Misfit
The Bengals did sign DeDe Dorsey this week, which probably isn't a good sign for Rudi going Monday night. I kinda doubt that Marvin Lewis will say anything definitive before he has to. Unless you have room for Kenny Watson to switch out at the last minute Monday night, I'd be hesitant to start him this week.
charty
As a Rudi owner, with a week 5 bye looming, I'm hoping they sit him this week so he is healthy and ready to go week 6. Edited September 26, 2007 by charty
The Irish Doggy
Heck, vs. NE, its not like they'll need Rudi anyway after the 1st quarter when they are down 21-3.

RJV
Rudi is one of my starters but I have to hope he is ok. I rather see him sit against NE and rest for 2 weeks and come back fresh.

Sox
I may be alone in my opinion, but I'm not completely sold on Rudi's injury. When he supposedly hurt his hammy,he was just standing there on the sidelines watching the game. They weren't icing it,or wrapping it up.Then in comes Kenny Watson, and the running game starts clicking. I think the coaches were upset with his running and pulled him.It looks like he's lost a step.Everybody assumed they drafted Kenny Irons in the second round to be a change of pace back.I'm not so sure. You might have something there. He just isn't the same runner that he was the last couple years. Of course the line hasn't been that great either, but Rudi's hesitant and easily brought down by defenders. It used to be his bread and butter was falling forward after the tackle for an extra 2 yards, but I haven't seen that this year. He just gets dropped. I'm really hoping Perry can come back and give us something, otherwise it will be a loooooong season.

Rudi has looked at best mediocre even before this injury.
Winoman
Rj has had a lot of wear & tear/tough running in the few years he has been the starter in Cinci. I'm not surprised to see him fade this year (in addition to the stiff schedule of Cinci - I stayed away from drafting him). I also think he is injured and out this week (but can't say 100% - but it does seem to be so).

It was odd how he was just standing there, looking more dumbfounded than hurt. Since I was around loud drunk people and couldn't hear the audio from the game, we thought he was taken out for performance reasons, too. Chris Perry may be a sweet pickup down the stretch (IF he can stay healthy). It's also clear we really miss Chris Henry. Hope the kid can keep his nose clean a few more weeks. It looks like we could have a lotta games decided by who has the ball at the end of the game, and both Perry and Henry could really help out Carson on that final drive.
