Tight end Dallas Clark and cornerback Marlin Jackson were held out of Friday's practice, but the Indianapolis Colts are optimistic each will be available for Sunday's game against Denver.

Clark injured his left quadriceps near the end of Thursday's practice, while Jackson aggravated a quadriceps injury the same day.

Coach Tony Dungy said Clark ran before Friday's workout "and did pretty well, but we held him (out). He should be OK.''

Jackson bruised a quad last Sunday at Houston. He was held out of Wednesday's practice, then returned Thursday only to have the injured area hit again.

"He's pretty confident he's going to play,'' Dungy said.

A decision on each likely will be made during pregame warm-ups.

Per SportingNews.com:

Dallas Clark Updates

Sept. 29, 2007 - 9:39 a.m.

Clark (quad) missed practice Friday but is expected to play Sunday, according to the Indianapolis Star.

Fantasy Source spin: Clark has a tough matchup against Denver this week, but I'd still be more than thrilled to have him as my starting tight end. (Chris Bahr/SN)

Sep 29 Although Clark (quad) missed practice on Friday, head coach Tony Dungy sounded optimistic he'll play on Sunday. "We held Dallas Clark out. He bumped into someone [Thursday] at the end of practice," Dungy told the Terre Haute News. "Actually he came out and ran before practice [Friday] and did pretty well. He should be okay."

I think he will have 6 catches for 76 yards and two scores. I also think he will line up at wide receiver (not slot), and beat Champ Bailey deep. Dude is a freakin' stud right now.

Clark is a freakin' basterd, is what he is... He could possibly be my downfall this week. The dude I'm playing had P.Manning and Clark, and I just sat there watching those two continually hook up. The 2 damn TD's just about killed me( doubling up his points like that). :D I want to take my ball and go home now.

Isn't that like cheating?
