billay
Chicago homers, Is this weeks starting of Griese simply a way to get Grossman in gear, or should we be expecting Griese to man the helm for the time being? Sometimes a benching is a good way to shake a player out of a funk, but the concensus I'm hearing from you guys is that Grossman is not the answer. Are we likely to see Orton in the next few weeks also? (This is really a disguised advice post as I am trying to determine if Griese would be a good pickup to cover Kitna's week 6 bye, and if so, I want to get him before this weekends games.) Ursa Majoris
ISMO, Griese will be there as long as he keeps them competitive and the Bears are in the game. He'll probably get at least four games. I think Grossman is done - there's no way the Bears can resign him without an angry mob descending on Halas Hall. gilthorp
I agree with Bear. Grossman is done. If Da Bears have GB or MN in week 6, I'd stay away from that pickup. JSMHO.

gilthorp
OK. So, the unspoken word goes a long way in Chicago. For some reason, they are not interested in having Orton as their QB. Even if Griese went down, Rex would be the guy. I just don't see Orton getting in this year unless the season is tanked and it's the final few weeks.
